We arrived late in the evening (or morning 2.30 am) and had easy access into the house, everything was neat and ready for us to get some sleep after 26 hours non-stop travels to get to Cape Coral. The next morning we first dove into the pool and went to the Publix and Wallmart that we close by to stock up on supplies. We also enjoyed the Kajaks and the two bicycles that came with the rental. The view of the canal in the morning with a good cup of coffee was our every day morning ritual. Hardly anybody ventures out side in the properties adjacent to the canal so we were lucky with a quiet view and surroundings. Al in all we had a great stay and are probably coming back here in the future.

When we arrived, we were amazed how well the pictures represented the property! After a quick trip to the grocery store, everything we needed was at our fingertips! We spent time at Fort Myers Beach and Captiva during the day, and came home to relax poolside. The kayaks, bicycles, and fishing poles helped pass the time for those that had more energy than the rest of us! I would highly recommend this property. In the future, I am going to have to book my trip well in advance, as this one will certainly have a lot of repeat visitors in the future. Neighbors were friendly, only wish we had more time to visit with them!

Highly recommend! Sue was incredible to work with. She was efficient and very helpful. The location of this home , as well as the other homes she looks after are in excellent locations. The canals are wonderful to wake up to. We used the kayaks daily as they are very stable and easy to get around on. A large dolphin swam right by us one day while we were exploring the neighborhood. WOW! It was only about 10 ft. away from us. We also made use of the bikes provided. Beautiful ,quiet neighborhood. We felt at home the minute we walked in the door.We arrived late so, they turned the outside lights on for us. The home is cheery, and the view of the pool and canal is amazing. The master bedroom is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The fan above the bed is quiet. You cannot beat this area for location in and out of Cape Coral. There are many grocery stores, restaurants ,and Merricks fresh seafood all within minutes . We bar -b-cued every night and enjoyed dining outside by the pool under the covered deck. Your own water front restaurant. They are well set up if you choose to rent a boat. Quick and easy access to the river and out to the gulf. There are lots of tours to take if you choose not to skipper. There is plenty to do in the area but you will need a car. If you go to Sannibel you will need a credit card or cash for parking. Well worth the trip. The kitchen is well equipped. The bikes and kayaks were great to have. There were lots of towels and everything was clean and well maintained. We put the pool cover on each night to keep the water temp consistent. This is a great place to see and do as much as you like or just kick back and enjoy the pool and lovely surrounding. We would definitely recommend this home or one of the four other homes Sue looks after.

The house is very comfortable with stunning views of the river. One evening a dolphin came right up to the decking and another morning we were treated to the sight of several rays swimming close by. The manatees were more elusive! The pool and outside lanai area are fabulous...perfect for sunbathing and family meals. The master bedroom also has a wonderful view down the river and the glass sliding doors from the sitting room flood the house with light. The river is close to the entrance to the sea so getting out by boat is easy; and the kayaks are great fun. The house was well equipped, clean and in a friendly quiet area yet close to shops and restaurants. The whole process from our first inquiry to arrival was very smooth and professionally handled. We loved our stay in this gorgeous house; great for relaxing, sunbathing, barbequeing and just enjoying time together. We didn't want to leave and are looking forward to returning soon.

My husband and I vacationed here along with my cousin and his wife, for part of February and March. The home has a spectacular view as it is situated at the end of a canal. The area was very quiet even though it was high season. The kitchen is fully equipped and we made many of our own meals because it was just so relaxing to sit and look at that view. However, there are many excellent restaurants in the area. Rumrunners, Lobster Lady, The Duke of Germany (excellent German food), and Anthonys are just a few of the ones we tried. Definitely a place to return to.

This was the perfect stay for our Cape Coral vacation. The house was well equipped and super comfortable. We had four adults and five children and were able to split among the three bedrooms just fine. The rooms are all beautifully decorated and the linens were far softer than any hotel I have ever stayed in! Plenty of beach towels for our days around the pool (which the kids loved). It is deep at the end but there is a perfect little cutout bench. We had great weather for swimming too! We were able to use the kayaks and take a little paddle down the canal. We didn't see any manatees but we did see some dolphins that came right up to the dock! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and there was even a little garden we were able to pull some herbs from. Living spaces were clean, comfortable and again beautifully decorated. Plenty of books, movies and things to keep us busy. Owners were so kind and beyond helpful. Would highly recommend this home for your stay and will be going back next time we are in Cape Coral. Thank you!

Wow! We arrived in the evening after dark and loved the house , but nothing prepared us for the incredible view in the morning. We woke up to splashing in the canal and found a manatee right by the dock! The house is open, bright and sunny, beautifully decorated, it has a very happy, relaxing feel to it. We felt like we were outside all the time with the big triple doors that open up the whole living room wall. We were relaxed and comfortable, the huge sitting area off the master bedroom was perfect for quietly reading a book away from the rest of the group. We grilled every evening watching the sunset. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back soon!

                  Year Purchased: 2012

About: My wife and I live in Minnesota on a lake west of downtown Minneapolis. We love living on a lake. And we have always enjoyed winter vacations in warm climates near the water. So Cape Coral was a natural choice for us with its canals, rivers and, of course, the Gulf of Mexico. There are so many fun things to do here. We are both working now but have an eye to retirement in the next eight to ten years. We have decided to rent this home now while we plan for our retirement.

                  Why Private Homes, Southeast:
Since I was a young boy I always loved the water. And after graduating from college I dreamed of having a home on a lake. I was lucky to find a “fixer-upper” in a small lake community and I have never left the lake. Now, many years later, my wife and I are beginning to plan for our retirement and we know we want to stay on the water. After looking at many houses, we found this house in Cape Coral on a big canal with a spectacular view. And it has the feel of a fun vacation home. We knew it was the house for us! I hope you enjoy your stay.
