The deck of this 2 bedroom/2 bath property faces a park with a playing field. I have often walked to the Newport avenue area of shops & restaurants. When I walk to the Ocean Beach pier, I prefer to walk along the beach.
Within 2 blocks, there is a noodle house, bistro, sandwich shop, pizza & bakery There are also three restaurants on the corner.
There is a bike path that goes along the San Diego River and Mission Bay. I have also ridden my bike to downtown San Diego. Although I found the Nimitz section of the ride a little tense, the bike lane has been improved since then.
The kitchen has many handy appliances, including a cuisinart, juicer, blender, & crockpot. Still, I suspect that you will enjoy that second bathroom more than the kitchen appliances.
The deck has a swing and hot tub. You can view Sea World fireworks from the hot tub. Please note that children under 6 are not allowed in the spa.
There is also a large shared area that includes the laundry room. There you can meet my friendly long-term tenants from the other three units. This area is fenced with a gate that opens to the park & bike path so you never have to take your dog along the street as you go to the beach together.

Ocean Beach has excellent surfing and tide-pooling, there is a long fishing pier with no license required to fish from the pier. I've even seen people catch spiny lobster from the pier. Ocean Beach has beach related shops, boutiques, antique stores, decent restaurants, a great organic grocery, bars with live music and a brew pub. You can see Sea World and Mission Bay from the deck

About the owner: We have lived in this area since 1969 when we arrived on a sailboat and decided that Ocean Beach was our spiritual home.
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Beach: We bought this property because we wanted to walk to the beach. Also, Ocean Beach has been home to people who value lifestyle over money and they consistently got the density decreased when most other beach communities were increasing density. I think it's the beachiest town in California.
