Accommodations: Stant's Swans Island Retreat, 4 Bedrooms + Bunk Area, 2 Baths (Sleeps 11-16)
By car, take the ferry from Bass Harbor to Swans Island. Our home is located in Island Retreat on Back Cove, off of Mackerel Cove. If you want to bring your boat, a mooring is available just off of the small Island Retreat dock at the mouth of Back Cove. At high tide, the house can be reached from the mooring by dinghy.
Ceramic tile floors and carpet upstairs and down. A large fireplace with bench seating is the perfect place to relax in the evening. Oak floor in the living room downstairs. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, plus a bunk room, a sleeping loft, and a full bath. One bedroom has twin beds and a queen futon fold-out. The other bedroom has a queen bed. Both have small balconies. The bunkroom comfortably sleeps four to five. There is also a roll-away cot upstairs. Go downstairs by stairway or fireman's pole. (A hazard for infants and toddlers, a blast for everyone else!)
Downstairs is bi-level, featuring a Master Bedroom with a queen-size bed, desk, and two closets, a linen closet, large full bath, and large kitchen/dining area with ceramic tile floor. Full-size washer and dryer. The living room is on a lower level downstairs featuring two large couches for lounging and table seating for games or puzzles. Five-level south-side deck is accessible from the kitchen, living room, or master bedroom. Internet access is high-speed satellite. Ideal for two or three families together or larger groups.
The large combined dining room/kitchen features walnut cabinets and a mahogony dining set with table inserts to accommodate several people at the same table.
Reservations for the 2008 season are currently available, but filling up fast. Please contact us as soon as possible to reserve your week.

$200 Security Deposit Required with signed lease.
$300 Rent Deposit Required with signed lease.
Allow 30 Days for Deposit Return Due to Phone & Direct TV Billing.
$1200 Rent Balance due 60 days prior to rental date.
Space is reserved only upon receipt of signed lease and deposits.
