We just stayed at the Greenport Village Home for a weekend at the vineyards to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. The property was perfect - the kitchen is beautiful and modern, the beds are comfortable (all queen size, which is great and rare for the area), the living room is very cozy (has a nice electric fireplace), and the basement is perfect for relaxing (has a ping-pong table and video games). I've stayed in many homes on the North Fork, and this was by far my favorite. I definitely hope to stay again in the future!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.
Owner response: Glad you had a good time. You are welcome back anytime. Just to clarify for future guests looking at reviews... the fireplace is gas not electric. It ignites with an electric spark. Thanks, Michael Owner

The house is updated, very clean and roomy (even with 8). It's one of those houses that makes you feel at home the second you arrive. Easy walk to town and restaurants. Close to vineyards. Owner provided great recommendations and also left additional material to review when we arrived.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Great House for a Wine Weekend!

We rented this house for a ladies wine weekend and loved it! The house is just beautiful and was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The satellite radio was awesome - if it reached the back porch we never would have gone inside! Michael was super helpful, recommending restaurants, wineries and being there when we couldn't find the key which was exactly where he said it would be! We have rented on the North Fork before, and the lovely part about being right in Greenport is that you can walk to town and it was very convenient for our tour of the wineries on Saturday. The limo picked us up and we were at the first stop in just minutes. (Corey Creek and Sparkling Pointe were the favorites this year!) The only concern we had was that the backyard was not as private as I thought it would be. Our group tends to stay up pretty late and the neighbors are close enough that they can certainly hear any talking/music happening in the back yard. That being said, we would absolutely rent this house again next year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

A perfect house for our couples getaway weekend. It was impeccably clean with a modern, high-end kitchen and updated decor. Greenport has a great variety of shops and restaurants so the walk to town location is a plus and it was very convenient for exploring the area. Our not perfect weather kept us from enjoying the beautiful backyard but the ping-pong table and Wii provided indoor entertainment. The owner, Michael, is wonderful to deal with - he could not have been more helpful! We would definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway, age 55+.

A really lovely home that is neat, clean and beautifully decorated with top of the line appliances. We had a great weekend for a birthday celebration/reunion. Great sleep on comfortable mattress. This house is an easy walk to town center with great shops and restaurants and a quick car drive to the local wineries.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

Michael was an awesome host - sending us restaurant recs, winery recs and even getting us a beach pass. The house was incredible - clean and new with a great kitchen for large groups an families. The backyard was well kept and we loved the Pandora based soundsystem and the Wii. My wife and I stayed here in the beginning of August and thought the house was fantastic. We couldn’t imagine a more perfect location. It’s a very short walk to town and close to all that the north fork has to offer – vineyards, beaches, golfing and Shelter Island. The house itself is impeccable, classy, yet made us feel relaxed and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and the landscaped yard made us feel like we were in our own private nature preserve. We were even greeted by deer at dusk. A truly wonderful place to get away, I would highly recommend!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

On a last-minute whim my family and I booked a long weekend here. The owner was very helpful and informative and emailed me answers to all my questions. We liked the pictures from the site but committing to a place sight unseen can always feel a little daunting. After a three hour car ride-- two tantrums and a diaper change, we arrived. We loved everything about the place, from morning coffee on the back deck, to the the décor - slightly modern with a beachy vibe - to afternoon BBQ’s. To my surprise, the backyard backs up onto a lake -which you can only catch a glimpse of because of the forest of bamboo - or something that looked like bamboo, but the sense of privacy is AMAZING. The beds were very comfortable, the linens were great, we felt like this was a home away from home. The other added bonus, was the location. Very central while remaining very private - short walk to a beautiful beach and to town where there was tons of stuff to do — we barely scratched the surface in our abbreviated stay. We would DEFINITELY stay here again — a truly wonderful spot.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1
