This house worked wonderfully for our family. We were up over thanksgiving and no neighbors seems to be home, so there was no noise or other people around, even though the house does have relatively close neighbors. It was so nice to be only 6 mins from the grocery store and so close to town. The house is staged and decorated beautifully. We slept 9 comfortably and would gladly stay here again.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

About the owner: We have been in love with Estes Park since we honey-mooned here over 40 years ago. We truly enjoy the solitude, the grandeur, the friendly people, and the cool summer climate. We especially enjoy the brilliant night sky without interference from street lights or commercial establishments There are so many things one can do here, including hiking, biking, fishing, horse-back riding, shopping, or just enjoying the beautiful vistas from the patio or one of the fantastic restaurants in the area. We love the wildlife, and frequently share the space with deer, elk, turkeys, foxes, and even an occasional bear. Now, we have realized our life-long dream by building our own quiet retreat, called the Buckhead, in 2012. We live in Lincoln, NE and enjoy coming out several times a year, and we have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren who also use it. We are proud to share it with our other guests as well. We hope you will derive as much pleasure from your visit as we do from ours.
Why the Owner Chose Estes Park:
After looking at many existing properties and lots, we chose to build on this location for its quiet and scenic location, on a dead-end street, yet close to the main road. It is close to the RMNP entrance, and an enjoyable walking or jogging distance to downtown. The hiking/biking trail ends just about 100 yards down Fall River Road from here. Our plan is modified from one we clipped from a magazine years ago. We strived to build, furnish and decorate it in a quality manner, something we would truly look forward to visiting with anticipation. It has been an adventure in itself watching it grow from a vacant lot to the finished product, requiring some blasting to nestle the home up against the unique rock outcroppings.
