  This was the first time that we had vacationed in the Florida Panhandle and we absolutely loved it!!!! My husband and I brought along our daughter, son-in-law and our grandson. This was our grandsons first trip to the ocean and he loved it. He couldn't get enough of the beach. The condo was clean and had a view to die for. If we were in the condo, other than sleeping, then we were on the balcony watching the waves come in and just listening to the tranquility of the ocean. We met so many nice people at the beach and especially the pool. There were several families that have vacationed at the Aqua Villa for many years. One couple have been coming twice a year since the early 90's. I think that says a lot for the Aqua Villa. We did several activities. We enjoyed the Dolphin Cruise and the boys went Deep Sea Fishing. Then we went to the Gulfarium. It is on a much much smaller scale than say Sea World but it was what we expected it to be and our grandson, who is 2 1/2 loved it. He was amazed at all of the animals he got to see. For our dinners we went to Fudpuckers in Destin and saw the alligator show. The food was delicious!! We also went to the Crab Trap by the pier and the food was just ok and it was the most expensive. Someone at the Villa told us about a local spot in Fort Walton called The Coach-N-Four Steak House. It was very reasonably priced and the food was delicious. It is on Beal Parkway 5 miles down on the right. Our overall vacation was fantastic and we will be coming down here again!!!!

  We enjoyed the peace and quiet AV provides because of its small size. The beach was just steps from us and beautiful. I don't want to be too negative about the condo, as it had a well equipped kitchen and a great view. We truly appreciated the balcony and the beach chairs. There were lots of pool toys and beach toys(some of which we enjoyed even though we're not kids) However, there are some real issues with the cleaning crew. As we were getting unpacked a gentleman showed up and asked if he could retrieve a bag of dirty laundry that had been left in the master bath area. Not a nice first impression! Here are a few of the other "surprises" we found. Dirty towel in plain sight on the floor of the 2nd bedroom Empty potato chip bag in the nightstand drawer in the 2nd bedroom Slats missing from the blinds in the 2nd bedroom, this window faces the beach & public walkway. A note on the coffeemaker saying it didn't work (coffeemaker was replaced for us the next morning) Jelly on the cabinet fronts & a greasy stove top. Stained bathroom linens. The smell of mold was unbelievable bad in the elevator! Basically, because of all the "red flags" we found in the second bedroom, we were unsure of whether the linens had been changed from the previous guests-so we didn't use that room, except to store our suitcases. This left us feeling like it was a waste of our money to have rented a 2 bedroom condo! The furniture in the living room has minor stains and really the condo just needs major updating. I think the photos were creatively taken not to show how dated the master bedroom furniture was. We new we'd be spending the majority of our time on the beach, so we didn't let these issues ruin our long-planned trip. I can't stress enough that the location of the condo is great, very convenient to get to everything in FWB or Destin. This unit just needs an update and perhaps a new cleaning crew.

  This was my second year renting this condo around the same time of year and I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! You really can't get any closer to the beach & ocean at a more reasonable price. And the views and use of the private balcony are priceless! It is very close to everything from restaurants, souvenir shops, and a short 5 minute drive towards Destin where you can parasail, shop, eat and many more things. We even arranged to have a massage right on the beach during this vacation! The condo is very clean & kept up & well supplied with items you'll need for cooking or grilling out! I hope to be able to continue to vacation here in the years to come & possibly introduce new people to what Okaloosa Island has to offer! Please read my previous review from April 2011 which was my first impression-EXCELLENT place to stay!!!!

  This is an extremely clean and well-kept property, very comfortable. The views from this condo are just excellent - sunsets to die for! The property owners/representatives are so easy to work with and made the stay completely trouble free. The beach is pristine, the pool is kept impeccably, no worries here. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. This condo is also located in an area so close to everything! Some great places to eat include Fish Lipz, just across the bridge across the road from Publix, and Dewey Destin's - the old one -- just the other side of the bridge into Destin, turn left and go through a bit of a messy area and land at DD's. Absolutely GREAT food!! Another great asset - if you, or someone traveling with you, are unable to make the stairs - the elevators make the trip up a breeze. You can't go wrong staying here!

  Totally enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful condo. The side balcony (giving us a great view of the ocean) was awesome. This was my granson's(he's 22 months old)1st visit to Florida & he's still talking about the ocean & also the swimming pool that was just 1 floor below. Also our pet chihuahua enjoyed her 1st visit to Florida, nice to find a pet friendly environmen! The condo was very clean & well-furnished. My daughter & I highly recommend AV4297 & hope to return there again real soon. Coming to Florida & having such a fantastic place to stay made our vacation such a memorable one.

  This year was our second year to stay in this unit. We enjoy the condo very much, it is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you might need to prepare and serve a meal. We especially like the fact that we can bring our dog along-she loves the cool floors! It's great that there are beach chairs, play sand toys and water toys available in the unit so you don't have to bring all that along with you. We hope to be able to be able to rent the unit again.

  We have stayed here a few times now and are never disappointed! Clean, very well stocked and a simply fabulous view. The added bonus is for people that want to have a great place directly on the beach that travel with their pets! It is so rare to find a rental condo this nice that accepts pets. We love it here. Okaloosa Island is not far from all the great restaurants in Destin and there are some good ones right in Fort Walton.

  Just home from a week long stay at Aqua Villa and it was one of our best vacations ever! You can't get any closer to the ocean/beach!!! While some others may complain of small issues such as furniture or paint, it's quite trivial when you've seen the sunrise or sunset from the balcony! So beautiful! Thoroughly enjoyed going to the beach (where you can also rent lounge chairs & umbrella if there's not enough in the condo) (my daughter wanted her own:) then returning to the poolside for a quick dip into the pool. Was NOT crowded at either the beach or the pool when we went. And grilling out at the charcoal pits was awesome! This area has the most beautiful colored waters & beaches we've ever seen! And there's so much to do from parasailing, renting wave runners, walking the fishing pier, going to the dolphins, and many, many restaurants! We were only here a day and a half and already decided to return next year! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to vacation on Okaloosa Island! We traveled from Michigan with our Shih-Tzu, and while we had to take him off the property to relieve himself, it was NOT a big deal at all! If you actually take a walk on the road, there's some pretty & unusual homes to see! Located with easy access to grocery, souvenirs shops, and small park to the bay side where my daughter found her very own hermit crabs in some unusual shells (6 to be exact:) Can't say enough good things about our experience. THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

  It was an amazing place to stay. The beautiful views. The beach was clean and so very quiet. It is pet friendly except for the fact you have to take your pet off the property to let them do their duty, that was a little inconvenient. The balcony was awesome place to sit and view the scenery & to listen to the waves. We recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a serene place to stay.

  Did not want to leave this place. Affordable and the views are spectacular. We had fantastic weather while there and met some of the nicest people staying at the same property. We will definitely be back next year.
