Escape the rat race and come visit a little slice of paradise and stay in our three-bedroom, two-bath home on Marco Island. Our non-smoking home is located on an over-sized lot in a peaceful setting at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and backs onto the Island County Club for fantastic views. Our home can comfortably accomodate a large family; it's also perfect for couples traveling together or as a romantic and extra-spacious getaway for two.
Our house features a living room, family room, kitchen, dining area, three bedrooms, and two baths. The kitchen includes all appliances, refrigerator, cook top, oven, microwave, dishwasher, disposal, coffee maker, toaster and all pots, pans, dishes, glasses, and silverware.
In the master bedroom is a king-size bed, its own TV, and a separate walk-in closet/dressing area. Bedroom two has twin beds. Bedroom three doubles as an office with broadband hookup for your computer, a TV and a full-sized, pull-down, Murphy bed. There is also additional sleeping with a queen-sized sofa bed in the living room. All rooms have ceiling fans and the house is fully air conditioned.
The two-car garage has automatic opener, a second refrigerator/freezer, and a washer and dryer.
Access to the lanai (screened-in patio) is from the living room or family room and features an over-sized, 16-foot by 32-foot pool, which, of course, is heated for your year-round pleasure. For your convenience there is a pass-through window from the kitchen to the lanai. Whether sitting on the lanai or swimming in the pool, you are sure to enjoy the spectacular views of the beautifully landscaped golf course with numerous trees and flowers that are always in bloom.
If you decide to spend time inside there is a 36-inch TV (with cable) and both a VCR and DVD player, or you may decide to explore Marco Island on the available bikes. Included is wireless hookup for your computer (you will need your own printer) and free nationwide long-distance phone service. The home is family friendly with child safety locks on all sliding doors leading to the lanai and pool.
Marco Island is vacationer's paradise with numerous restaurants, shopping, water sports, golfing, groceries, sports rentals, and charter fishing, offering something for everyone. If you grow tired of Marco Island, Naples is about a 25-minute drive with its many offerings. Our home is also close to the Everglades and its many recreational activities such as swamp buggies, airboats, etc. The city of Miami is just a short two-hour drive away. However, if you decide to spend the day at the beach, extra large beach towels and beach chairs are available.

We rented this home for 10 days and I felt like it was my own. The home is located in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. It is very spacious and met all of our needs. Being located on the golf course was very nice and enjoyable! We hope to be returning next year. It was a pleasure doing business with you Jim. Was our first winter season in Florida renting 171 Society. Expectations were completely met. The location of this home on the island is great and quiet. The home was well equipped with kitchen utensils and spices for cooking. We enjoyed our morning breakfast on the pool side lanai over looking a Green and Tee of the adjoining Golf course. This was our second winter season renting 171 Society. Once again, our expectations were completely met. We are self-employed so the convenience of DSL, wireless routing, and an office in the home was a real bonus. Jim and Joan's house is very comfortable for short or long term visits; amenities and sweet touches are plentiful in this home. The location of this home on the island is perfect; just a bike ride away from everything; but far enough away from everything to enjoy nights of peace and quiet. We enjoyed the visits by the golf crews, golfers, eagles, neighbors and the doggies on their daily walks - we have made many new friends on the island and most of them live on Society Court. We would be back again next year but we love Marco Island so much, we decided to buy our own home (we would have seriously considered Jim and Joan's if it were for sale!). Thanks for the great memories from the last two years and we look forward to you joining the snowbirds in the future.

We had a very relaxing vacation in this home on Marco Island. We enjoyed our morning breakfast on the pool side lanai over looking a Green and Tee of the adjoining Golf course. This home was very spacious and was more than enough room for our family of five. The home was well equipped with kitchen utensils and spices for cooking. We enjoyed the large pool ranging for 3 to 8 feet deep. Our only concern was trying to keep it down while enjoying our swim out of curtsey for the passing golfers. We had an awesome time and long to return soon.

All I can say is.....Wow.... As we live on a golf course in Key West with a pool in the backyard, I had a degree of reluctance about renting a house from someone else on a golf course, also with a pool. Jim & Joan's house is in one of the best locations in Marco. It is not right next to the beach, but for a 5 minute drive I could have gone there. All of the best stores are within a mile from Jim & Joan's house, and the house itself is O U T S T A N D I N G. Jim and Joan have spared no expense in providing relaxing amenities, and the week that we were there seemed to pass in a blink of the eye. We already have plans to revisit Jim & Joan's house. This has been one of the best getaways my family has experienced.
