Perfect for the independent traveler!
Perfect for the independent traveler!
I actually stayed here in late May of 2012, but the calendar would only go back so far. I had a lovely stay at "Andrew". The views out the front and back of the apartment are both very nice, there is a small table for dining outside if you so desire, and with the windows open in the front and back of the apartment the cross breeze is excellent. Tram stop conveniently located the next block up. Andrew was very helpful with directions and getting situated. Perfect for 1-2 people. Thank you for the experience Andrew! Sorry this review is over a year late.

A month in Amsterdam
A month in Amsterdam
My name is Diana . I stayed here for a month while I was working in the city, so this lovely flat really did feel like home. It is very spacious and very stylish, light and comfortable . The L shaped appartment has different areas for sleeping, relaxing, eating and in my case working . It is heated by a gas stove which I appreciated, it was always warm when I came home. The kitchen is is a solid steel affair with lots of equipment. for some serious cooking. The toilet is probably the smallest in the world, but the shower room is fine and I loved the dressing gowns. I has a balcony at the back looking down to the back gardens of the other appartments. The view from the front of the appartment is onto a canal. The area is a very easy place to be. It also feels very safe I was often walking home alone late at night. There are trams in all directions just outside and a good supermarket nearby. It is a pleasant walk to the Jordaan area and a short tram ride to many of the museums and galleries. (get a museumkaart if you are visiting more than 3 and you will save yourself a lot of money). The owner kept in touch to make sure everything was OK and even lent me a bike! Couldn't have been better really. Hope I will be back

Our holidays were fantastic.Guest comment entered by manager
Our holidays were fantastic.
Our holidays, they were fantastic. The apartment was exactly what I saw in the web page, and Andrew the owner is very kind so we felt absolutely at home in his place. I´m sure we´ll come back there if we go to Amsterdam again, it is much better than a hotel. And of course, we loved Amsterdam, a quiet but lively city to spend holidays. We experienced the city by boat, by tram, and walking a lot. We entered some museums, like Ana Frank, Van Gogh, and also went to Haarlem where we visited the cathedral and a windmill. Sure there are many things we didn´t have time to do but we are satisfied with the ones we have done, next time more...
