The property is exactly as advertised. It is, of course, clean and well maintained. But it also has character and everything we wanted. It's close to the water, right near fun food, great walking and beautiful sunsets. Deanne was very cordial and helpful. The 2 bedrooms and 2 baths was very handy. In the Marina district, a pleasant, better alternative to hotel living. We hope to return soon to San Francisco and this property.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I (along with our three children) enjoyed a 6 night stay at this wonderful marina apartment and we were sad to leave! The location is perfect! Close to shops and restaurants and right up the street from the Marina Green. The apartment has beautiful details (hardwood floors, gorgeous moldings) and is extremely comfortable. We will definitely plan to rent again the next time we are in San Francisco! This is a great spot for a family or for adults visiting San Francisco.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I stayed at this lovely condo with my family and several friends. Brandon and Deanna were very helpful with local information and tips on where and what to do during our stay. The condo is an art deco masterpiece! Wood floors throughout, arched doorways, and art deco tile in the bathrooms! There is a large living room with flat screen TV with a gazillion channels, a large dining area and a large fully equipped kitchen. The bedrooms were roomy and the beds very comfy. What a great place to spend some quality time in this great city! The Marina district is a perfect location for business or tourist activities. I had never stayed in this part of town before. There is a Super Market just steps from the condo and views of the Golden Gate and the bay just out the door. Fishermans Wharf, China Town, Union Street are all close by. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking for a large, comfortable place to stay in a great neighborhood in San Francisco. I'll be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for commenting on the Victorian finishes of our flat. Most renters are so enchanted with the location, they forget to comment on the interior of our flat. The pinwheel-detailed and restored wood floors were recently refurbished to bring back their orginial beauty. The pink, black, and green art deco tile in the bathroom are also orginial! The wood windows, arched doorways, and the fancy crown moldings are truly charming and besides restoring them, we are leaving them as is to give our renters the old San Francisco feel. The kitchen, however, we remodeled with new appliances. This flat is almost 80 years old, but has had only one other owner besides me. So, the unit is really in great shape.

This very well may be the best block in San Francisco! It is in the heart of the Marina yet a quiet, local street. The Bay is two blocks away, Safeway, Chestnut, Moscone Playground, The Palace of Fine Arts/Exploratorium, Fisherman's Wharf, etc are all close and very 'walkable'. There is so much to do in SF and this central and beautiful spot is the perfect home base. The owners couldn't be nicer. They are very welcoming and responsive and made us feel right at home. We ended up staying in this place in btw homes in SF and kept extending our stay bc we enjoyed it so much. The backyard patio is an added plus to this spacious two bedroom flat. The kitchen is fully equipped and we were very pleased with everything about our stay. We have since recommended it to friends and they have given it really high marks as well. You will love it!Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Liz, I think you extended your stay because this unit was so comfortable for your three young boys, correct? I agree this is great property for young families because of all the things there are do for kids nearby. I love Moscone center (1 block away) which has a library, rec center, ball fields, tennis courts, a putting green, and HUGE playground.

We had a wonderful stay in this well located home. It is very spacious, well appointed, and comfortable. It is a block and a half from a 24 hour Safeway, which makes it very convenient to walk for last minute meal items or wine and beer. It is within two blocks of the water, and parks. The area is very pleasant, and quiet also. You are close to everything, and the parking spot is a great bonus. It's perfect for couples or families. Deanna and Brandon are perfect hosts, and are very easy to deal with for booking and other information concerning your stay. I would highly recommend their home for any traveler wanting to experience San Francisco.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you Vicki and Brian. I do pride myself on trying to respond to rental inquiries within 1 day! I lived in SF for 15 years in 8 different apartments. I can tell you with certainity this is the VERY BEST location in the city for the reasons you observed.

This condo was in the perfect location, had everything we needed, and was still away from it all. Located on a tree-lined street with awesome SF architecture inside the condo and outside. We were 2 blocks from the marina where you can rent bikes for the whole family (you can bike to the Golden Gate, if adventurous). Or go for walk or run with the cool bay breeze inspiring you, Or hang out at the state beaches. After your morning exercise, you can head two blocks the other way to Chestnut St for awesome food and shopping. Mani/Pedi for $20! In the evening, you can enjoy more restaurants and the bar scene:) When we ventured outside the marina district we just jumped in a cab, to the many other fun and exciting activites and attractions that this lovely city by the Bay offers. We parked our car at the condo and left it there during our entire stay. Definitely would stay there again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you, Khal. You hit exactly on what most renters say about our location. They love the fact they can pull in to our garage, tuck the car away for the weekend, and enjoy the pedestrian feel of the Marina district. You walk 5 minutes out the door and you are encountered by shopping, dining, theatres, bars, salons, the bay, running/biking paths. My favorite run is from this condo to the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge and back. Takes about 1 hour. Awesome!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We loved this home and enjoyed 5 years in the condo with our family of 5. We relocated our family to Tahoe a few years ago, but could not let go of our pad in SF. My husband frequently stays in the unit above the one we have listed here on VRBO. Attached is a photo of Deanna and the three kids eating at our favorite (kid's) restaurant in SF - The rainforest cafe. Every time we go back to SF, the kids insist on a family outing here.
Why the Owner Chose Marina:
This property is all about location, comfort, and accesibility to the offerings of the Marina, Chestnut Street, the Presidio, Fisherman's Wharf, and Fort Mason. This unit sleeps 8 in a 2BR plus studio/office which is nice for a large group looking for multiple sleeping spaces. The two bedrooms on the main floor are well appointed and are located next to bathrooms. The studio/office overlooks a garden and patio which would serves as the perfect office space or overflow sleeping space because it has two beds. The unit includes 2 parking spots which is HUGE during big event weeks.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our condo has two big living spaces (a cozy living room plus a more formal dining area) AND a eat-in kitchen. This gives renters freedom to roam about and not feel 'on top' of each other, which is unique because most of the Marina rentals are studios. Each bedroom are a good size and together sleep 5 adults. For the person who has to work, we have a detached office downstairs and wifi! Sneak away for a week and still get the job done! Or you can have 3 people sleep downstairs and use the space as an overflow bedroom for up to 3 people.
