BLUE CABIN
Blue Cabin is on its own little hill overlooking the lake. It has all the amenities that are needed for a comfortable stay: small but full kitchen, blankets, towels, a queen size bed, a couch and chairs, rugs, an outdoor porch, a pot belly stove, and a full bathroom.
Blue Cabin sleeps two comfortably, and is known as the ‘honeymoon’ cabin, because it is small and cozy, but has the best views at Wild Mountain Farm, Yorkville.
The cabin is a short and scenic walk from the private swimming lake below it, and has a switchback path leading from the lake to the cabin.
The cabin has no cell phone reception, TV, radio, or Internet connection, but there are unlimited views, privacy, and great star gazing at night. Don’t forget to bring your bathing suit and all the food you need!

WHAT TO DO THERE
Wild Mountain Farm has opportunities for outdoor adventurers, as well as more easygoing options to unwind. The property has its own hiking trails, and lies close to rafting and kayaking on the Russian River and longer hikes in state parks. For the less ambitious, there are quiet reading nooks, well-stocked fireplaces, and outdoor picnic spots with spectacular panoramic views of the Anderson Valley.
NEARBY
Wild Mountain Farm is nestled in a valley with only one highway, above the fray but still close to destinations like the nearby Navarro winery and the Red Tail Brewery. You can indulge in fine dining or casual family restaurants in nearby Boonville and Healdsburg. Bigger towns like scenic Mendocino and Healdsburg offer perfect daytrips, and the rugged Northern California Coast is beautiful at any time of year.
EVENTS IN THE VALLEY
The Anderson Valley is home to a thriving food culture, with the festivals to prove it. The Pinot Noir Wine Festival kicks off in May along with the Boonville Beer Fest. There are cooking lessons for the epicurious at Apple Farm, and the Healdsberg Jazz Festival in June attracts music lovers from all over the world.

This cabin was a wonderful getaway. It is off the grid, and located high in the hills, giving it a sense of isolation, and closeness to nature. The cabin was adorable and very well maintained (clean, nice furnishings) and has stunning views in all directions. It is located far enough away from the main house that you have a sense of privacy as well. I look forward to returning in the near future!Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

About the owner: I am a native Los Angelino, but my fondness for Northern California is rooted in a family history that enjoyed getting “off the grid” before there even was a grid! My family established a presence in Napa Valley long before Beringer Vineyards was inviting Hollywood stars to visit what is today considered to be one of the top wine regions in the United States. I am a retired landscape architect, but retirement hardly means slowing down for me. It was only natural that my love for NoCal’s beauty and spirit would lure me to Anderson Valley to create Wild Mountain Farm -- nestled high in the mountains, but comfortably appointed, and only a short drive from the Valley’s growing diversity of restaurants, artisan galleries, wineries and festivals.
Why the Owner Chose Boonville:
Wild Mountain Farm is a perfect off-the-grid retreat in a beautiful natural setting. I can enjoy the many nearby Anderson Valley activities, or take a peaceful nature hike with my dog.
