  We rented this lovely house as our accomodations for the Santa Barbara Wine Country Half Marathon, which also falls on Mother's Day weekend. I couldn't have picked a more perfect house - even better than the pictures! We made a fabulous pre-race dinner in the well appointed kitchen, and that master bath - WOW. We loved all the different outdoor spaces; our baby daughter had a blast on that giant front lawn while we sipped wine on the patio. Best of all for us, it's literally located right on the race course (between miles 11-12). Our friends could walk outside with our daughter to cheer us on, then stroll into town and meet us at the finish for the wine fesitval! That hot tub would have been fabulous after the race, but we fell asleep before getting the chance to use it. But boy, did I enjoy that fabulous bathtub the next morning! The owner was super easy to work with and gave us some great area recommendations. Overall a fabulous weekend and perfect place to have spent my first Mother's Day! We definitely plan to come back!

  Beautiful, yet comfortable home! The location is so pretty, quiet and calm yet close enough to walk into town. The owners were exceptional to work with. A dream weekend :)

  The house was amazing - beyond all expectations! The furnishings were exquisite and the house had everything you could possible want. Comfy sheets, beds and couches. Truly outstanding setting and so close to everything. We'd go again in a heartbeat!

  Hi All, I came to this house for vacation with a very wonderful woman and a very dear long-time friend. We went for Los Olivos wine tasting, the steakhouse in Buellton, and just a chance to (briefly) get away from the hustle and bustle in LA. They loved the house more than I did, and that's saying a lot... This home was amazing in every aspect. The pictures on the website don't do it justice; the pictures are great, but the house in person is just beautiful. Both the front patio and the back yard are beautiful, perfect for lounging with a glass of wine and enjoying each other's company. Large living/dining room, a family room, a kitchen w/ an island (which has every appliance you can think of), three fireplaces, this home is perfectly inviting. The master bedroom is like a house unto itself. The bathroom in it is amazing, HUGE shower and separate Roman-size bathtub. Better than the Venetian in Las Vegas. Oh, and hot tub. Anough said. The house is a 2 minute drive or 15 min walk away from downtown Solvang, which has great breakfast spots and antique-esque places to shop. You are also a 10 min drive (15 mins if you take a lovely scenic route) away from Los Olivos, home to many many wine tasting rooms. Imagine two solid blocks of just wine tasting rooms. Finally, the owner is very gentlemanly. Ht welcomed us upon arrival, WITH a bottle of wine, and assured us if we had any problems that he would be immediately willing and able to rectify any situation. None such situation ever arose, but it was very nice to know that any help was merely a phone call away. All in all, best vacation home I've ever stayed at. Beautifully kept up, close to everything, & a great host. Oh, and there are literally dozens of board games and activities kept in the living room. Make this your choice if you value any of the above attributes in a vacation home. Well done. Very well done. I shall be coming back.

  I recently rented this house with my family for the weekend to celebrate a birthday and I just can’t say enough great things about our stay! The owners were so accommodating and they added a few personal touches to make our stay even more lovely. When we arrived on Friday, there was a bottle of wine and a note telling us to have a great weekend. The house itself is also beautiful. It’s very spacious and it is easy to feel right at home as soon as you get there. The location of the house is also great because it’s very close to downtown Solvang, Los Olivos, and many wineries. Everyone in my family absolutely loved the house and would highly recommend it to anyone!!

  What an amazing property! We had a great time! The owner was very accommodating and made the arrival personal. Upon arrival there ws a family of deer in the front yard to greet us! Enchanting!!! THANK YOU!!!!

  I rented the Rocking R home for a girls' wine-tasting weekend and I could not have asked for a more perfect house! The house was spacious and beautiful. The pictures of the house online truly do not do the house justice. No detail was overlooked in this house! My favorite parts of the house included the spa-like master bathroom and bedroom, the gourmet kitchen and open design of the kitchen/living room, the comfortable bedding, and of course, the beautiful outside spaces which includes a relaxing outdoor seating area, a lawn to play croquet, and a jacuzzi! This house also has an amazing location centrally located to many wineries, downtown Solvang, and Los Olivos. Finally, the owners of the house could not be nicer or more accommodating. They even gave us a bottle of wine to kick-off our weekend! We had such a great time, one of the girls in my group has already booked another weekend at the home! I hope to book this house again next time I return to Santa Ynez. Highly recommend!
