Two bedrooms with a queen bed in each, futon in living room, bunkroom sleeps 4 with 1 set of bunkbeds, and 2 twin beds. Woodburning fireplace, 2 bathrooms ( 1 full, 1 is a 1/2 bath), and TV ensure you will be comfortable! Welcome to spotsman's paradise, where you can boat, fish, hunt, snowmobile, ATV, swim, or have a quaint weekend get together. Listen to your kids giggle all day catching frogs in the creek that flows through the property. Buffalo Lake is a full recreation lake.

The cottage was so lovely. Unfortunately we picked a very rainy weekend to go, but there was plenty of room for all 8 of us to get our own space as needed. The only reason I give it a good instead of an excellent rating is that we did have to reset the main breaker in the cottage twice while we were there, but I think we just had so much going on that it was a little overloaded. We played board games and roasted marshmallows and got plenty of time to read while the kids played. We look forward to being able to come back when the weather is warmer and the lake is filled back in!Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

About the owner: My husband Mike and I have always loved the idea of lake life, and the serenity that it brings. We have 2 kids who also love the water, and are happy to have a lakeplace to call home.
Why the Owner Chose Montello:
Our cottage has recently been beautifully updated. We love the campfire by the lake, the peaceful babble of the creek, and the large yard that surrounds our lake house.

Buffalo lake is a fantastic fishing lake, and abundant with wildlife such as ducks, geese, loons, and crane. The lake house is very close to ATV and snowmobile trails, quaint shops, beautiful golf courses, and boating paradise. This lake is 2300 acres, yet peaceful and quiet.
