About the owner: We are a family of 5 and recently moved to Kemah. We built this house to have that lake getaway we always talked and dreamed about. We have enjoyed it so much that we decided to sell our house in Houston and buy a house in Kemah in order to live fulltime on the lake. As such, we don't use the house as much as we would like. It's such a nice house that it's a shame for it not to be used. That's when we decided to put it up for rent for others.
Why the Owner Chose Sunrise Beach:
Nine years ago our youngest daughter started going to Camp Longhorn. When we would come to pick her up, we stayed in the area and fell in love with the lake and the surrounding hill country! On our second visit, we looked around for property and found a vacant lot. We spent the next 3 years planning on building a house.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We chose a channel lot with lake views instead of open water. We know first hand the damage waves, etc can do to bulkheads and how disrupting the noise can be from boats screaming by. Our lake view is actually larger than some of the open water views of our friends' houses. It's extremely quiet and peaceful and the deer (and a silver fox!) love to walk through the yard.
