Beachy Keen- Beach, Pool, Tennis - 2012 Spring & Summer Sale
Year Purchased: 2004
Why the Owner Chose Cassine Village
We were awestruck by the beauty and clarity of the ocean water. Having traveled to the caribbean, we noted the similarity to the sugar-white sand and crystal blue water. A whimisical "Let's look at property" turned into a dream come true. Cassine Village was just developing and had so many amenities to offer - two pools, tennis courts, basketball hoop and most of all, a commitment to the natural surroundings, Cassine Garden is literally the centerpiece of the community around which the development was designed. A walk through the garden sold us on the area.
The Unique Benefits at this House
In addition in a short walk to the gorgeous beach, Cassine Village is built around a natural garden with tall cyprus trees, flowers, walking trails, pond with walking bridge and a gazebo for picnics. The trails lead across the street into the state forest and Eastern Lake. What an incredible opportunity to enjoy both the beach and the state forest just outside your door.
Get on your bike and one can ride to Seaside on the paved bike trail to enjoy the shopping, dining and tourist activities. Going east, one can access all the communitiesand activities from Alys Beach to Rosemary Beach. Afterwards, come home to the peace and quiet of Beachy Keen in Cassine Village. You'll cherish the tranquility.

Owner's Map of Cassine Village
Our family loves the tranquility of the beach. Just sitting on the beach soothes the soul. When the water warms in the Spring, we enjoy jumping the little ones over the waves, swimming, sunning, walking, kayaking and enjoying the sunset. Watching the kids play in the sand with the seabreezes in their hair is a joy. The beach is our special place to play and stay together.

My family had the pleasure of staying at Beachy Keen for our summer beach vacation. The home is comfortable and spacious. The Cassine Village complex is lovely with nice clean pools, lush landscaping and plenty of walking trails. The distance to the beach is close enough, just a little walk. It was well represented on the map. The owners were a pleasure to meet :>) and work with. The house was well maintained and clean. We loved days and evenings on the large screened in porch. Overall, we absolutely LOVE the Seagrove Beach area. It is laid back and away from the big crowds of the neighboring beach communities. While in Seagrove or anywhere along 30A, renting bikes is a MUST. Make sure to get them for the whole week, we used them to explore and go everywhere. We loved the Seagrove Village Market for lunch. Seaside is close enough to bike to as well as a bike ride to the beautiful park, Deer Lake with a lovely boardwalk across the sand dunes to the beach!! The only downside was the ocean had some "June grass" but it is the ocean and nature is what nature is!! The sandy beach is the best and we loved our trip to 30A! Thanks for making your house available on VRBO!
Owner response:It's an honor to have folks drive all the way from St. Louis to enjoy our coast. We appreciate having you as our guests.

My family and I have stayed at Beachy Keen multiple times over the years. The beach, local parks and downtown Seaside are conveniently located within a short bike ride from the house. The home’s décor gives way to an island feel and the maintenance and upkeep is exceptional. The home also grants visitors the use of a community pool which can be accessed via a short stroll. We really can't say enough about this home; it is truly relaxing and perfect for adults and children alike. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Owner response:Thanks, Colleen. Hope you come back soon.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Beachykeen. The house is just as darling as the pictures depict and the location was ideal. We heard to stay in Seaside but prices were higher so we started looking in Seascape. It is very close to Seaside, but a little quieter and the streets wider so we preferred it. The pool and tennis courts are just a few houses down and the beach just across the street once you get out of the neighborhood. The wrap around porch is just lovely, providing a constant breeze and a perfect place for morning coffee, afternoon siestas and evening card playing! Even the dishes and linens are darling at this house. We read, bicycled, and just hung out at the beach each day, then went to Seaside at night for dinner, outdoor concert or outdoor movie. My husband and I are from Florida and now live in Texas.... Floridian's never talk about Destin but the water there is absolutely beautiful. My family would highly recommend BeachyKeen and Seascape. (p.s. To my suprise this beach town gets a little dressed for dinner. Wish I would had brought more than just flip flops!)
Owner response:So happy that Kim emjoyed our little piece of heavan in Seagrove Beach (aka Seascape).

We spent a fabulous week at the beach with wonderful friends. Beachy Keen was very comfortable and homey. It was a quiet location that was also close to fabulous beaches!!! The coast in that area is simply marvelous. The sand is soft and the water is gorgeous green. There was a pool nearby, and there were paths for walking and biking. Other beaches and towns were easily accessible by car, but the nearest beach was also superb. We would highly recommend this location and this property.
Owner response:Thanks, Sweet Sue for your reminder that being close to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico is not to be taken for granted...especially when you live in the midwest.

I stayed at Beachy Keen with several of my friends and would definetly go back. The beach house is spacious, very clean, comfortable and very well appointed. We didn't lack for anything. It was a short walk to the beach and grocery store/deli/liquor store. We enjoyed the nature trail across the street and the shopping and nightlife a few miles away. Didn't use the pool or tennis courts while we were there. The pictures on the website detailing the interior and exterior are very accurate. Anyone staying here will not be disappointed. I would definitely recommend Beachy Keen to my friends and family.

Beachy Keen is a super place to stay for a family vacation. Although not right on the beach, it is within easy walking distance w/beach access available, and a pool is also nearby. The cottage is much larger than we expected with very clean, roomy spaces and a fully supplied kitchen. The side and front porches are shaded by mature trees and are a draw in the afternoons for drinks and quiet reading. The small subdivision is very quiet with a mix of fulltime and rental residents. Noise has never been a problem any of the times we have been there. The Seaside Beach community is a bike ride away with many fine restaurants and shops facing the beautiful waters of the Gulf. Our favorite restaurant there is Bud and Allie's, an outdoor cafe on the second floor of the shops and facing the ocean. An early evening dinner there is definitely a stress-reliever when you first arrive. For further relaxation, there is a small but excellent yoga studio located between Beachy Keen and Seaside Beach. There is a major grocery store nearby and smaller convenience stores for small items just at the corner. Our family has stayed at Beachy Keen several times, and we always enjoy everything about the cottage. The nicest part is to be in a fully furnished house with all its privacy and also be close to any entertainment we could need for our stay. There is nowhere better to enjoy the beach than on the Gulf and no place better than Beachy Keen. We look forward to many more years of going to Beachy Keen!
Owner response:It's great to know what activities (e.g. yoga) and favorite restaurants guests enjoy while staying at Beachy Keen.
