Sonoma house description
'The East Side Of Town Has A Lot To Offer Locals And Visitors Alike' says PAUL RATTAY 'Sonoma's Best is reminding us to think local' - Sonoma News
A quiet, charming country lane on the desirable east side of Sonoma leads to Old Winery Garden Cottage – a six foot ivy fence surrounds this lovely cottage with three patios: front, back (which also has a deck), and one in the middle of the lavender in the yard. The pleasant scents of local vineyards and redwood trees can also be enjoyed in the yard from the ideally placed Adirondack chairs. The cottage is within walking distance of Sonoma Plaza, Ravenswood Winery, Sebastiani Winery, Buena Vista Winery and Bartholomew Park Winery.
Accenting this beautifully restored home are gleaming hardwood floors, sleek black counter tops, white cabinetry, an antique bathroom vanity, lovely fireplace, comfy beds, paned windows and French doors. Take advantage of the attention to detail that makes Old Winery Garden Cottage a wonderful place to relax and perfect spot from which to launch your wine country adventures.
Supplies are available at Sonoma Market, Safeway, Whole Foods, and nearby Sonoma’s Best. Design your meals around wonderful fresh local produce. Sonoma's Farmers Market in Sonoma Plaza on Tuesday evenings (seasonally) and in Depot Park on Friday mornings provide local produce to design your meals in the fully equipped kitchen and accentuate with fresh meats, cheeses, and of course, wine. A new stainless steel gas BBQ is just steps away in the delightful garden.
Start your day with breakfast at The Cottage, Sonoma’s Best or one of Sonoma’s wonderful restaurants. Old Winery Garden Cottage management will provide a list of suggested places to dine and visit. In addition to a multitude of Sonoma, Napa, and Carneros wineries, historic sites such as Jack London State Park, and museums including Di Rosa Preserve, are not to be missed. If you have youngsters in the group they will adore Train Town.

What a find! 3 girlfriends and I rented this cottage for a relaxing wine country weekend. The property is beautiful! The furnishings are "shabby chic" and the overall vibe is calm. The outside of the property is the best feature. The yard has mature landscape, lots of lavender which was about to bloom, roses, birds, etc. We had breakfast and coffee outside every morning. The location is 2 miles from the town square on the east side which is very quiet. We had bike rentals from Goodtime Touring Company and Doug was a wealth of information. He delivered the bikes right to our door and picked them up the next morning. We biked to the wineries around us and had a fabulous lunch at Sonoma's Best. Pat, the property manager, was very easy to work with and my ladies and I look forward to returning next year!

Loved the ability to stay in town, and still be able to sit on the deck in almost silence and breathe in lavender scented air. The house is simply decorated, comfortable, and has everything you need to spend any amount of time there.
