This is a must for a vacation rental. The owner was very sweet and inviting. Lynne's accommodations were great. For instance, she went so far to have laundry detergent in the appartment, games, ect...I highly recommend this property. It was very relaxing and the view was amazing. You step outside the back and there is the lake. Lots of things to do and just a short drive to the falls. Must see!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

My boyfriend and I are 29 and 31 years old and live in Toronto, Canada. We wanted to get out of the city for the Thanksgiving weekend. We were looking to relax, do some reading, and hit up some local famers markets. We arrived at Lynne's Landing and were very pleasantly surprised. The apartment was very large, VERY clean and comfortable. Lake Ontario is steps away from the apartment and you can see the water while sitting inside while eating your breakfast. Its beautiful.. Lynne had tons of tourist information/brochures/maps set out in the living area. Lynne herself was a pleasure to meet, very very friendly. Point Breeze is very small, but gorgeous. There are not many options for eating except a lcoal diner and the pub but both very enjoyable. (both minutes away from Lynne's) We really enjoyed the pub called Black North INN- they had great "home cooked food": chilli, pizza, burgers. We watched the football games here and had a very nice time. Browns Berry Patch is also great. Its probably the biggest Farmers Market with tons of homemade jams, pastries and pies. Can do lunch and breakfast here as well. This is a great place to relax, and get away from city life. If you are looking to do more than just relax, there are some local wineries, kayak rentals, hiking opportunities and an Amish area that would be great to visit.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

4 high school girlfriends and I spent a weekend at this fabulous property. Great accommodations. We cooked our meals, dipped our feet into the lake, sipped our wine, sat on the covered patio, watched the sailboats glide by and the birds fly by. Aaaaahh.. quiet get-away... Will go back again..Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Just spent 8 days at Lynne's Landing. The home is lovely, accessible, peaceful, quiet and a great place to relax. It offers the parkway for a quick trip into Rochester. The Point Breeze recreation facilities and eateries are great, especially the Black North. Walking in the early morning along the country road was great! We saw friends, entertained and just had one of the best trips we've taken in years. If you are searching for a great spot, this is definitely "it". Lynne makes being there easy and is readily available to pass on local information and activities. Next time we're in western New York, we'll definitely enjoy her hospitality once again. You should, too!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Had a mini high school reunion with 6 wonderful friends. We stayed 3 nights and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN! Comfortable beds, never ran out of hot water. The view of the lake is priceless!!! Wonderful sunsets. A fantastic patio! A great restaurant is less than a mile from the condo. A wonderful farmer's market with yummy ice cream, around the corner. It is not a cottage. Very up to date place. The Niagara Wine Trail is close by. Would recommend this in a heart beat. Plan on returning with my husband and family next time we're in NY!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: I landed at 'Lynne's Landing' 10 years ago when I left Rochester, NY in search of bluer waters. After 9/11, I decided it was time for a change of scenery. Ideally, I wanted a duplex, on the water with a studio that I could expand my business. Lo & behold, I found it conveniently located 1/2 hour from where I grew up! My parents were thrilled to see me leave the city and it gave my father a new purpose as the house's addition was in need of finishing. Our 5 year project was completed in 2 1/2 years and since then, I've enjoyed the experience of working from home on my graphic design business, as well as being landlord to some wonderful tenants. Last year, the property experienced a confrontation with Mother Nature and I lost 20' x 100' of yard to Lake Ontario. Over the course of the year, contractors rebuilt the shoreline to protect it from further erosion. My neighbors and I are now the 'poster children' for lake erosion and how to rebound from it. This project prompted me to reconsider the apartment's use to a short-term rental. It's a special place to me and I want to share it with many others who appreciate this sacred space.
Why the Owner Chose Point Breeze:
Point Breeze is a place that still holds the same charm it did 40 years ago when my dad took us fishing on the pier. I was especially drawn to this property as it's a complete house among year-round waterfront homes, not a converted cottage among a row of cottages on a dirt road. And, it's conveniently located about a mile from the Lake Ontario State Parkway, a non-stop 'conduit' to downtown Rochester.
The large 1-acre yard with trees lined on both sides offer the privacy that not many lake-dwellers can boast about. The trees also offer insulation from the fierce lake winds. Cold-weather guests will enjoy the perks of garage parking and remote control entrance.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
We understand the therapeutic powers that our pets provide and offer you that experience too! This year, I acquired a new friend and 'resident therapist'-an American Eskimo named Daisy. Guests who stay at Lynne's Landing will have the opportunity to receive some genuine pet therapy with either Daisy or Elliott. Belly rubs optional-no extra charge!
If pet therapy isn't your cup-of-tea, I will be happy to arrange for energy therapy, massage therapy or spa treatments with local professionals upon your request. Perfect for couple's retreat or Girl Get-Away trips!
