This property is located on the highest point in the only gated community in Sky Valley--'HANGING TREE RIDGE'. The historical 'hanging tree' is on this property and is a sight to see! The home is a personally designed and decorated mountain retreat. You will relax in a wonderful Great Room with wood burning fireplace and HDTV with BLU RAY DVD. A most comfortable leather wrap around sofa for family/friend time or watch a movie or football game--all the while with breathtaking view of the mountains.
The private Master Bedroom suite is appointed with a King Size bed with TEMPUR-PEDIC mattress. It also features a Samsung HDTV with Samsung BLU RAY DVD. It has panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and glass doors exiting to the deck. The bathroom is ensuite. Completely private are 2 bedrooms sharing a bathroom. One bedroom has panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Both have queen size beds.
The gourmet kitchen has brand new Jenn-Air stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. There is also a laundry room with Bosch front loading washer/dryer. A fabulous deck expanses the entire back of the house with access from Great Room and 2 bedrooms. It includes a table for 8 and a WEBER gas barbecue grill, adirondack chairs and 2 rocking chairs. There is also a WEBER charcoal grill and a chimenea. All of this faces the fabulous Blue Ridge Mountains. The morning sunrises and evening sunsets are spectacular. Some mornings you wake to actually being over the clouds, and some days literally 'somewhere over the rainbow'!
Every aspect of this wonderful home exudes complete comfort and relaxation. It is a place you will never forget.

Wow! What a wonderful time we had. Your home is truly sensational. Everyday we enjoyed your breathtaking view and every night we sat by the fire. What a delightful weekend! The house is wonderful and instantly comfortable. We especially enjoyed the panorama of weather views--temps from the 70's to the 20's--all in one weekend. And a sky that reflected it all. We had great burgers in Highlands and at the Flip Side. We enjoyed meeting the son of the builder of the house who happened to be up here this weekend. And we must have burned a cord of firewood. A great place to share with good friends Mon. AM--what a night! We experienced some of the effects of 'Frankenstorm'. Tremendous winds! The grill cover was blown off and away--had to be rescued. Doors rattled and we lost power for a bit. What a sweet way to spend some much needed time off...2 of us came from Californiam 2 from Atlanta. This cabin in the sky now feels like home. First, we had a productive day of hiking, ending with a decadent meal at Madison's. Second, a mellow misty day of lounging, topped off with a very necessary gorge fest at The Dillard House. We were so happy when we arrived at this beautiful home to confirm it's comfortable charm and incredible views. The owner welcomed us with open arms and could not have been kinder. I felt like we were friends before we arrived. The home was every bit as lovely as the photos showed. In fact, it was one of the most comfortable homes that we've ever rented. Without being kitschy the decor was warm and personal and in keeping with the feel of a well loved mountian home. We all felt so at home there and slept like babies every night. The deck was a fabulous place to hang out and take in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The kitchen was especially important to me because I would be cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family, What a delight! This was definitiely one of the most well-stocked kitchens that I've ever had the pleasure of cooking in at a rental property. The main purpose of our visit was to rest, relax, be comfortable and enjoy the views and that's just what we did. It was a really great Thanksgiving family vacation.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This was a perfect weekend for us. The house is beautifully decorated and feels more like a home than a rental. The deck off of the back of the home is large and has a beautiful view of the valley and mountains. Because of a last-minute family emergency, the owner was very flexible in letting us move the date back a day. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine to celebrate our 20 year anniversary -- here's to 20 more! Thank you Kayren.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

This place is perched high atop a mountain ridge with beautiful views, clean mountain air, and beautiful accommodations. The Fall leaves were breathtaking! And the owner went out of the way to make sure all of our needs were met. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this property last year with friends. The word is AHHHHHHHHHHH. WOW, what a relaxing and most wonderful experience! About the owner: Wallace visited Sky Valley searching for the perfect mountain house for many months and finally found his perfect mountain retreat. In 2008 he met and married the love of his life, Kayren. She completely redecorated the house to its present fabulous state. Wallace was born in Toccoa, Ga where he has owned his own business for 40+ years. He graduated The University of Georgia School of Phamacy and is an avid Bulldog football fan. He lived on Lake Rabun for many years until he desired to live in Sky Valley.

Sky Valley was a 'dream' for Wallace to own a home. After marrying his wife, Kayren, he began to share her home on Lake Lanier in Harbour Point Yacht Club. They spend their time between the two vacation homes. They are thrilled to share this beautiful, personal home with the fortunate quests who will stay here.
