  We have visited Los Olivos many times and this was the first time we stayed at this cottage and it was absolutely awesome. The cottage had everything you could possibly want, it was so clean and the bath towels smelled like they had just been pulled out of the dryer. Not to mention the grounds, so peaceful and quaint. You felt like you were on the ranch all by yourself the way the cottage is positioned. We would definitely come back and stay here and the owners we wonderful to work with!!!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, girls getaway.

  I surprised my sister with this incredible vacation rental and a couple of her friends greeted us on the porch swing. We had the most relaxing weekend of our lives! We had all kinds of adventures planned touring the central coast and Los Olivos, but when we saw this house in person, we scratched most of our plans and decided to spend most of our time here! My family has rented many houses in the central coast (we're from San Diego and many family members and friends have attended Cal Poly), and this by far has been my favorite!

  Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

  Our family of four (including 2 teenage girls) stayed over Spring break and had a great time. The cottage is well furnished and maintained with full amenities. Everything you could possibly need in a vacation rental! The location is close to restaurants and wine tasting in downtown Los Olivos. Karen/John provides bicycles which we unfortunately did not use during trip (maybe next time). We had such a great time that we plan to be back in the Fall. We highly recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a 2 bedroom rental in Santa Ynez.

  We are retired and travel a lot. Our stays are usually in condos or cottages since they provide more room, comfort and flexibility. The Los Olivos cottage ranks at the top of our list because it is very comfortable, well appointed and the setting is beautiful. All of the furnishing are tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked with the essentials. If you enjoy good restaurants, long walks, bicycling and, of course, great wine, this area is terrific. The owners, John and Karen are great folks and were extremely accommodating during our stay. We can't wait to go back!

  Thank you for a wonderful experience at your home. We went for the weekend and did not want to leave! The house is comfortable, charming and is in a greta location just outside of town. For cooks, the kitchen is very well-equipped for cooking. We will definitely come back. Thanks again!

  Six girlfriends united in Los Olivos from all over the country and had a wonderful weekend enjoying the Los Olivos country, wine and fresh air! We rented the beautiful cottage and the nearby studio. It was perfect. We made breakfast and coffee in the morning, went on long walks, said hello to the lovely horses and, of course, drank wine at the surrounding vineyards. On the last night, we enjoyed eating take-out by the wood burning fire place in the cottage. All of us really enjoyed our stay and I would come back in a second.

  We stayed here for my parents' 30th anniversary. What an amazing little gem! It was very quaint and welcoming. We loved the decor! It was very warm and inviting and the fire place made it feel very cozy. It was very close to town and perfect location to go wine tasting. The scenery was breathtaking and it was a perfect getaway. The owners, John and Karen, were beyond friendly! They gave us great recommendations! They were also so kind to give us a bottle of wine and their last 3 fresh eggs! We wish we could live there full time! We want to express out gratitude to John and Karen for providing such lovely accommodations and hospitality. My parents were very grateful and had a wonderful anniversary weekend! We will definitely come back and stay again!

  Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming cottage on the outskirts of Los Olivos. Even better than the photos! The owners have beautifully restored the cottage with authenticity and class...in a very comfortable and relaxing setting on a 5-acre horse farm. The location was ideal for exploring the wine country and taking in the beautiful scenery of the Santa Ynez Valley. We will definitely return!

  We flew into California to visit our son and daughter in law over the holidays and threw a visit to wine country into the mix. This cottage was most welcoming. Twinkling white lights on the porch, red ribbon wrapped pine boughs on the posts and a roaring fire kept us in the holiday mood. The cottage is clean and bright and furnished with everything one needs. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom modern and clean, furnishings had a French farmhouse feel and the well designed kitchen had everything we needed for a few home cooked meals. The bikes were convenient as the kids could take them out on their own to explore the town when they didn’t want to come to yet another winery with us. This property was the perfect hideaway for those looking to stay off the beaten path in Los Olivos and enjoy a more private and lovely surrounding. Many thanks for the wine and fresh eggs!

  Our original vrbo cancelled on us and in a last minute scramble we happened upon this cottage + guest house and were thrilled with the turn of events. The owners John & Karen were completely accommodating. We had 3 couples: 2 in the cottage and 1 in the guest studio across the lawn, so there was a total of 3 bed/3 baths thus plenty of privacy and room (I like my own bathroom). The 3 fireplaces were nice and burning constantly since it rained most of the weekend. There are throws on all the beds, thick towels in the bathrooms and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need including a sink I want in my own house. The closets and dressers are all empty (unlike other vrbo’s where they are full of the owners’ things), except for the welcomed luggage racks. There are gorgeous views out every window, gardens, horses, mountains as well as lots of wandering around space and privacy from the owners’ main house. The pictures are 100% accurate. The furnishings and style give it a very European feel and we felt like we were a million miles from home. We had a great weekend and plan to return and ride the bikes into town and have a little wine tasting.
