We had a great couple of days at this convenient, well stocked mammoth cabin. The property has a really nice feel to it and is comfortable and very well maintained. The property owner was very helpful and responsive to my questions and needs as well. She provided a lot of local info including lists of restaurants which was very helpful. I really loved being able to bring my well-traveled dog, we all really enjoyed our time there and we were lucky enough to get fresh snow! The only potential downsides were the location with respect to the lifts/lodge are not within walking distance (in ski boots-we were told they were). This is easily rectified by taking the close, convenient shuttle, or driving in one day and storing equipment in a locker so you don't need to carry everything up the hill to the lodge. The only other inconvenience is check-out is 10am, which really puts a rush on your last morning there, not sure if this is something that can be modified, as we didn't realize it until it was too late. I do plan to stay there again, hopefully this summer!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thank you for the review; we appreciate your feedback and look forward to your return. I suppose walking in ski boots is a personal preference or choice. My thirteen year old daughter and I routinely go in ours. My husband, however, usually throws his ski boots over his shoulder and wears his hiking boots to/from. As to check-out, we want to make sure there is a full and complete cleaning between stays. We might be able to juggle things a bit depending upon the circumstances.

If you are in Mammoth to ski this is the condo for you! End of the block is Canyon Lodge and associated lifts. From the time you leave the front door, you can be on a lift in 15 minutes. There is a shuttle stop right out your front door taking you to the slopes or the village. The unit has all the amenities you could want, and the sleeping arrangement works out well for 5. It is clean and well stocked with all the items you need to make your stay more like being at home; pots, pans, flatware, towels. The unit has plenty of room, and you feel like you're in a cabin with the stone fireplace and open beamed ceilings. We never felt like we were bumping into each other all the time. The underground parking is a real plus when it is snowing out, and the Jacuzzi is just out your back door to work out those kinks from a long day of skiing.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children.

We just loved this condo - stayed here in the past for skiing (great location- just a short walk to warming hut 2) but there is also a bus stop that does the loop right in front. We also had a great time staying here the past two summers during the Mammoth Wine and Music festival- we could ride bikes down to the village and theres a very nice pool. Lots of excellant restaurants and so many fun things to do in summer in Mammoth.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Although it's a "condo", this place really feels more like its own private cabin...you get the best of both worlds...rustic and charming yet so super convenient. Beautiful wooded location and a short 5-minute walk to Canyon Lift. Love the open kitchen to the living room with amazing very large stone fireplace. We had a fairly large group of all ages and everyone was comfortable and there really was no feeling of being crowded or lack of privacy. Very, very clean and loaded w/ all conveniences including washer/dryer, onsite covered parking...everything is just right on. After one great 5-day stay...wouldn't stay anywhere else!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.
