Our villa is located in The Island Club on Hilton Head. The breathtaking ocean view from our third-floor (elevator, no steps) private balcony is worth the trip alone. We have a beautifully decorated villa with all the necessary amenities to make you vacation a relaxing and enjoyable adventure.
The Island Club is one of the true "gems" on Hilton Head. It has 24-hour security, FREE tennis on nine courts, three swimming pools including a zero grade BABY POOL with mushroom fountain and cascading waterfall in the lap pool and a new "tanning Pool". Racquetball courts, basketball, workout facility and jacuzzi tub. Centrally located and close to shopping, dining, golf, cinemas, grocery stores, and amusement parks; everything to make your vacation hassle free.

Why the Owner Chose Island Club
We bought on Hilton Head first and formost because we love the island! We have been vacationing on the island sinse our honeymoon in 1977. Tracey (my wife) has a large family in Columbia we visit quite often. Hilton Head is a 10 hour drive from our home in Louisville, (pronounced Lou-A-Vul). Stopping in Columbia gives us the opportunity to stop and see the fam, give us a break and a good reason to move on and not wear out the welcome.
The Unique Benefits at this Villa
We fell in love with The Island Club the day we first walked on the property. Our villa is less than a mintue walk to the ocean and less then a minute from the great swimming pools and tennis courts. The Island Club is a "self contained" community with many family activities within the property. It is close to everything on the island. Golf, tennis, shopping both on and off the island, museums, art galleries, movies, everything within a 10 or 15 minute drive. We love our home and take great care of it. We loved doing a total renovation when we purchased it. Tearing out walls, opening the view, new EVERYTHING. We have since done two smaller scale updates and believe we have one of the premiere villas at the Island Club
Robert Trent Jones golf course on the island is one of the top five courses on the island.
HHL is the Gary Player course just off the island. One of the most beautifully landscaped courses on or off the island.
The Van Der Meer tennis center is a world class teaching and playing centers in the world. It features over 25 clay courts and state of the art instruction, etc.
Island West is the Fuzzy Zoeller couses. It features a challenging couse and normally some of the best values on or off the island.
Written up by Racheal Raye. The Sea Shack is one of the islands must do dinners. Perpare for a long line.
Harbour Town is a very tight demanding course. It is home to the Heritage of Golf played every year after the Masters.
Less then one hour from Hilton Head. An easy drive up I-95 to Route 278.
This is a MUST do for our family when we are on the island. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. Enjoy.
Some of the best food on the island. We never HH without spending one evening at the Sea Grass. Great wine selection and entries out of this world. Reservations are best.
An Island favorite. Great pizza dine in or carry out. A full menu of sandwich's, veal, chicken, etc. Full bar and wine list. Like the Sea Grass this is a must stop while on your visit to the island.

Tracey and I (Mark) have been married for 34 years. We honeymooned on Hilton Head back when there was nothing there but a couple of hotels. We have been vacationing on the island ever sense. We both love playing golf. The picture was taken at Hilton Head National after I just scored a hole in one, (my third). We love Hilton Head and have developed a second set of good friends. Our home is now Louisville, Kentucky. We moved to Louisville from Columbia, South Carolina in 1988. As Neil Diamond says,
"Louisville's fine but it ain't home". We vacation on the island often and love being with the people at the Island Club. I sold my business of 32 years in 2006. I owned and operated 22 Waffle House units in and around Lousiville. I am currently employed at a local country club washing, parking and pluging in golf carts. Additionally I pick up the balls from the driving range and hate members that show up 5 minutes before the range closes.
Tracey is very active in our church, with tennis and golf.
She had the hardest job in the world. She was a house wife and mother to our two children. We love our home and have worked hard to make it one of the best at the Island Club. We hope you will love it as much as we do.

We have rented this condo for the past six winters which indicates how happy we are there! The condo is beautifully decorated, well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped. The owners are great people to rent from; they completely redid the unit before we first stayed there and keep it in excellent condition. There is a beautiful view over the lagoon to the beach. Although we are only there during the winter, we enjoy the beach by taking long walks daily. There is a fully equipped health club, tennis courts, and pools on the property. We recommend this condo very highly for a wonderful vacation.

This will be our sixth year renting this villa. This is one of the best maintained and beautifully furnished villas we have seen on the property. The owner has always been very gracious and willing to answer any of our inquiries and has been quick to remedy any maintenance problems with the villa which have occurred during our stay. Since our stay has been for a month each year, we call the villa our "home away from home." Over the years, many of our family and friends have joined us during our stay, and they have been amazed at how clean and beautiful it is. The photos in the listing can't possible reflect the wonderful views of the beach and lagoon from the balcony. We always enjoy breakfast and lunch outside on the balcony. For dinner, we would highly encourage visitors to take advantage of the "Early Bird Specials" offered by the local restaurants. They are truly a "value." Over our 30 years of vacationing on Hilton Head, this has been our favorite place to stay on the island.

In the 8 years we have owned and rented our home we have made many good friends and obviously many repeat guests.
