This winter was the 5th year in the Sarasota area,but the first time in downtown Sarasota. Well,downtown is the the place to stay! The condo is in a great location an easy walk to wonderful Sarasota restaurants,art galleries,opera,theaters, waterfront and a short ride to a great beach. The view from the balcony of the unit overlooked the city and was quite spectacular at night. Coffee or a glass of wine on the balcony with the view was very enjoyable. The building has amenity features which were enjoyed. My wife and I are workout enthusiasts loved the fact that the fitness center and pool were just an elevator ride down to the 6th floor. The unit itself was small but very efficient with a somewhat contemporary decor.The convenient washer and dryer closet is close to the kitchen. The owner provided a very comprehensive manual of the units features which proved helpful along with great restaurant and shopping reviews. We look forward to returning to downtown Sarasota next year!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

My husband and I loved this place! Everything we needed was there---all we had to bring was our clothes! The unit was well-maintained, comfortable, and convenient to all that downtown Sarasota has to offer, with a great view of the city. We could walk everywhere---the post office, the library, the marina, Starbucks, Whole Foods, and about a jillion restaurants and bars. The owner was always very responsive when we had a question---although, the owner left such wonderful instructions for every piece of equipment, we rarely had any reason to call. We had overnight guests one night, thanks to the pull-out bed in the LR and the extra bath. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who would like to sample the culture of Sarasota. We would recommend the Saturday Market, the Opera House, the Chalk Festival, the Players Theater, Trader Joe's, MadeBy (art from Ringling School students). We usually cook for ourselves, but enjoyed nice meals at Owens Fish Camp, Amici's, and Eat Here. We visited the Tervis Tumbler Factory Store in Osprey (love that place!), Mote Aquarium, Selby Botanical Garden, Bradenton Riverwalk. We also enjoy tennis, so we checked out Payne Park that has a bunch of public courts. We didn't play there as we were only in town for the month, but the facility is great and would be worth using if you were staying longer and could find people to play with. We did some early morning walks to St. Armand's and to Lido Beach. We would go early to avoid the heat of the day, have breakfast at the Dolphin Cafe (I think that was the name of the place), then have a great walk home. The location of this condo makes it so much fun! There is always lots to do, and you don't need a car.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
