Hummingbird Cottage is located just 15 minutes from Clemson University!(GO TIGERS )we are in a great location for football games and other events at Clemson.You will have your own privite pool with a fast slide.
We also provide a Season Pass to South Cove County Park, High Falls County Park and Chau Ram County Park !
We are just 10 minutes to the start of the Smokey Mountains where White Water Falls is located and Walhalla were the Oktoberfest is held every year in October.We are 5 minutes from Lake Keowee, South Cove County Park, Seneca City where they have the Seneca Fest, Downtown Music Nights and Special Christmas Events where shopping is great on Ram Cat Alley.There are lots of activities here like Wedding Venues, one of the Best Wedding Cake Bakery is located right here in Seneca, Dinner Cruses, Wine and Cheese Cruses, Golf, lake fishing and fly fishing, hunting and many lakes to visit while you are here for boating and water fun.
Hummingbird Cottage is located in a middle class neighborhood at the end of a Cull De Sac. We have plenty of room to park your Ski Jets or Extra Cars.
We have 2 bedrooms, queen beds with pillow top mattress and luxury linens.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one with large tiled walk in Shower the other with a Jetted Spa Tub.The linens and towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, toaster, crockpot, coffee maker, wine rack with glasses and wine, plates and serving peices, all you need to entertain inside or outside at the pool. You just bring the food.
Living room has large sofa, love seat and rocker all recline for your comfort.There is a large flat screen HD TV and Blue Ray DVD Player.You have Direct TV with 200+ Channels.We have free secure wireless internet for your personal use.
The game room is 20x20 with a Large Air Hockey Table, flat screen Direct TV, Playstation 2 with games.There is a children's corner with a small table, chairs and crafts. There are board games, exercise equipment, pack in play, booster seat all stored in the large walk in closet ready for your use.There is a Sleeper Sofa with Full size Bed for exta sleeping space and a roll top desk for adult use just before you exit out the French doors to the back deck and pool area.
The pool is a 16x32 inground pool with Custom Sectional Curved Fast Slide. The adults and children a like love this feature.There is also a 12x24 Screened In Gazebo with patio fur., Children's pool toys and life vest (but please adult supervision at all times around pool and in back yard for safty).The pool is open year round but not heated yet.There is a gas grill for cookouts and special dishes in the kitchen for picnics around the pool.The Gazebo has plenty of lighting and fans for night time entertaining. Sometimes early morning or late evening we see deer or hummingbirds while sitting in the Gazebo.

We are a full service rental so we can shop for you before you arrive if you wish, there is no fee for this service just pay for the items after your arrival.

We arrived to find the owners had improved on the rental from our last visit.The baskets around the home were wonderful.The owners provided for us like a 5 star hotel.The house was clean and very comfortable.The home is what you see in the photos only nicer.We felt welcome and enjoyed our stay.The owners go out of their way to help with anything you need.We have alread booked for our second visit this year.This is truly our prefered place to stay when coming to Clemson or the Mountains.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hummingbird Cottage offers a "home away from home" with photos that match the accomodations. Starting with the delicious refrigerator treat, we seemed to eat our way through the days- even tried fried pickles as part of the Fall for Greenville Fest. The owners' southern hospitality made us feel very welcome and the guest baskets came in very helpful in providing those items we forgot. The quiet location at the end of the street bordering the local nursery was a perfect spot for family times.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

Absolutely AMAZING, cozy, fun and welcoming home away from home!! We are a family of 4 with 2 young boys (3 yrs and 6 yrs) who wanted a comfortable and inviting place to stay for a mini family get away, and we certainly found it at Hummingbird Cottage. You can tell that the owner puts a lot of love into this house. Well kept, clean and upgraded where it should be, with a beautiful country flare. The pool was beautiful and very clean and stocked with pool toys. There was an added bonus of a bounty of life vests in assorted sizes, which came in very handy for us when we rented a boat on Lake Keowee. The game room was awesome.....lots of space with an air hockey table, video games and a closet full of toys, puzzles and games. The owner went above and beyond with thoughtful baskets of surprises throughout the house, filled with toiletries galore and a large variety of snacks......as well as a delicious welcoming gift from a local bakery. It was a perfect get away, and we will certainly be staying at Hummingbird Cottage again when we return to South Carolina.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our stay at the Hummingbird Cottage for perfect for our get-together to attend the Clemson/Georgia Tech football game. The gameroom was a perfect place for the kids to play while the adults prepared dinner and watched other games on the large screen TV in the living room. The kids loved the pool and we all enjoyed the beautiful back yard. The owners were very accomodating and we had everything we needed! They go out of their way to make the stay as comfortable as any 4 star accomodations!Recommended for: Families with teenagers.

I was surprised at the value of this home for rent. It was comfortable and restful. Our family enjoyed the pool which was clean and well cared for. We all loved that slide it was like being at a water park. For an older home this one is decorated nice and well took care of. The owner was very nice and had a surprise waiting for us upon check in. It was a cake from the local bakery! Everything went smoothly and we had lots of information on the area. The owner had made a book with maps, menu and attractions in the area which helped a lot. We will be renting here again when we come back to Clemson.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: My husband served in the Army for 29 years. We have 5 children and 3 grandchildren.We think our vacation renters are special people who deserve to have a good vacation when they come to our rental. We try to make them feel welcome and make their stay special.Our goal is to have happy return visitors for the comming years.
Why the Owner Chose Seneca:
This was our first home and as we adopted and grew as a family we had to find a larger home. We still live in Seneca so if you have any problems or questions we are here for you. We named our home Hummingbird Cottage because we saw so many Hummingbirds flying around the house in the last few years.
We loved this home so we decided to keep it and make a vacation rental for others to enjoy as we did.We love this location so close to the lakes and mountains.There is so much to do here and lots of things to enjoy. Our area is growing with Wine and Cheese Cruses, Wedding Venues and we even have one of the best Wedding Cake Shops in the upstate.
