An Amazing 2011 New Year Celebration

We just finished our 2011 New Year stay at the lake house - it was amazing. From the start Cindi was a great help and so kind. Thank you for everything. The house is just perfect. We came with three families, who all had such a great time. Our three 7yr old girls absolutely loved the bunk bed room, they never came out. And it was so conveniently located right next to the kitchen with two entrances. The dining room is perfect, large enough to fit all of us and right off of the kitchen which is fully stocked. Next time I will remember I don't need to bring anything, because all is right there. We all loved the fact that each room had a thermometer, including the bathrooms. The loft was a great addition but we all just hanged out downstairs by the fireplace. We came for the slops and it was great to have Camelback, Big Boulder and Jack Frost so close by. We all went skiing at Camelback, the girls took classes, and went snow tubing at Jack Frost. Definitely recommend Jack Frost - less crowds and you get a chance to slide more often with very little wait time, unlike Camelback. Only thing be prepared that you will not have any cell reception at the house, or very low bars like I did. Also we took turns on taking a shower, some at night, some in the morning as the water gets colder when too many people shower. But we made it work. I took the morning one and it was nice and toasty. We all can't wait to go back there again, maybe in the summer to test out the lake.

Thanks for a wonderful weekend. We caught the biggest fish ever (large mouth bass - 5-6 lbs!) Great weather! Great house! Congratulations - love the new furniture. It's beautiful! Love to come back soon.

The place ROCKS! The lake, boats, fishing and the pool kept us busy. We enjoyed the fire thing (chiminea) by the dock. Can't wait to come back. Thanks.

We enjoyed staying at the house! the proximity to the lake was great - we spent hours fishing and using the boats. We hope to do it again soon.

We loved our stay here... the weather was pretty good too - onlyone really rainy day. The pool was our family favorite, as well as great fishing. The boats (kayaks, paddleboat)are great. We even hit a really fun carnival a the Club House on Thursday night. Hope to do this again next summer. Thanks!

This is a great house for two families. We really enjoyed it. We had a lot of rain though. It would be great to leave a list of things to do with small children if it rains. We drove to a playland in Mt. Bethel but we are guessing there is something closer. We definitely want to return next summer. Can't wait to see the changes you make to the house this year.

The house was great especially for three generations. People with little ones should go to the Timber Trails beach. It was empty and has a 'tot lot.' The trash situation was a little problem. The critters managed to pry open the lids. What a mess!

We just purchased this home. The previous owners took great care of the house and grounds. We will continue in their tradition. The home is nestled in dense trees for complete privacy. The dock on the lake is a wonderful retreat. Over the next several months, we will be transforming the inside of the house. We hope to make it more accomodating to our family and friends when we visit. It will also allow us to accomodate more of your family and friends when you rent. We are bringing in some new living room furniture. Moving existing furniture into the loft to utilize that space and converting the den into a children's dormitory room. A third television and a few more DVD players will also be added in the Fall. Of course we won't change some of the best features of the house. The lake stays, the boats will still be here and the mountain bikes are waiting for someone to put them to use. I'm sure that you will enjoy your stay here at Deer View Lodge!
