Coos Bay cottage description
This is a remodeled 100 year old craftsman style cottage with careful attention to privacy, quiet, and elegant simplicity. The kitchen and dining room have wonderful sun with windows facing a long hedge of flowering fuchsias. A cozy living room with a glass fronted woodstove invites quiet time for reflection and contemplation.
The master bedroom has an eco-friendly king size bed that has provided exceptional restful sleep. An adjoining spacious bathroom is equipped with dual vanities and a modern version of the classic bathtub.
The second bathroom has a great shower and custom woodwork matching that in the kitchen. New kitchen appliances include a stove and microwave. The large front loading clothes washing machine and dryer are in a separate, convenient laundry room.
Two dormer bedrooms upstairs have great windows. One is now equipped with a futon.
A large outdoor deck wraps around the house. The yard includes a flowering garden and meadow enclosed by a tall cedar fence providing privacy and abundant room for outdoor living.

Wonderful Place to Stay
Wonderful Place to Stay
I love this house. We were able to take our dogs, which was a requirement, as my sis and I have two well behaved dogs. The house decorated beautifully and very peaceful. It's close to the beautiful park and downtown. Jon has had a lot of work done to the house, and it's so comfortable with lots of room. My brother, sister, and I stayed there for three nights. I will definitly stay here again. Jon's rate is very reasonable and well worth it. We all had our own bedrooms and the beds were extremely comfortable. Love it, Jon and we'll be back.

Year Purchased: 2005
About: I've long admired the Craftsman style of living. Woodwork, simplicity, and attention to simple detail have inspired me as an antidote to modern living.
