The Carriage House is a very well-appointed, well-maintained, delightful studio apartment. It is warm and inviting with quality amenities. The owner's attention to detail and the comfort of guests is evident in the plush bed, soft bath towels, table service and quality kitchen accouterments. The fireplace makes for a cozy welcome on cool days. Finding a bottle of wine in the refrigerator was a pleasant surprise. The owner was helpful in answering our questions and making our stay enjoyable. The Carriage House Studio is an excellent find for a stay in Ashland.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

We stayed for nine days and had a wonderful time. The Carriage House was within walking distance, a mere fifteen minutes of the main shopping district and to the Shakespeare festival. The rental was clean and had all the necessities one could wish for and even more like a welcome basket of fruit, chocolate, cider, and even a bottle of wine (which may be because the place is brand new). The owner was attentive and friendly, and she rousted up some bikes for two wheeled touring. We live in Anchorage and really, I mean really, appreciate being able to go out in warm sunny weather.Recommended for: Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Owner info

About the owner: I moved to Ashland 9 years ago and am in love with this town. There is so much to do here - as one of my clients remarked 'this is a day camp for adults!' The people are so friendly and everyone seems engaged in life.
Why the Owner Chose Ashland:
The home and apartment are so close to everything - a short stroll to downtown, theaters at night, restaurants galore, bike path out the front door, coffee shop 4 doors down the street. Wonderful yard, veggie garden, and patio with fountain.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio:
Ashland is surrounded by mountains and you get a birds eye view of them from your lodging. It is warm and inviting. A very happy place.
