Deb was a wonderful host. The house was absolutely adorable and perfect for a weekend stay. Relaxing front and back porches, a spacious backyard, the open, cozy layout of the house, and an ideal location make for an amazing stay - we had so much fun. Everything you could ask for! We will definitely be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent six nights at Deb's beautiful two bedroom (plus detached guest room) and enjoyed every minute, as did our dog. The location is fantastic, less than a block from the Alberta arts district which is crammed with shops, restaurants and bars. Deb is a gracious hostess and went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. I will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family when they travel to Portland.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We really enjoyed the backyard. With the lovely weather while we were in Portland it was an unexpected bonus. The house is comfortable, nicely furnished, and very well maintained.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Deb's place was in a perfect location for my visit to Portland. It was very easy to access the entire city by car, bike or public transit. Alberta Street is full of wonderful shops and restaurants and offers a good example of what makes the city such a great place. The house was very clean and comfortable -- I look forward to staying there again on my next visit!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a remarkable calm and relaxing stay at Deb's place with our chocolate Lab Lily. The house and it's contents were extremely clean and the back yard closed in secure, let us sit outside and play fetch with Lily. The uncluttered atmosphere and calming colors of the interieor were all we needed for a great weekend in Portland . We loved being able to drive such a short distance to the great grocery store on 33rd and all the art and dining just down the street to attend. Thanks Deb and keep up the great work with your vacation rental. Deb, Bruce and LIlyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thank you so much Deb! This is indeed a Sweet Spot! We weren't home much because there was soo many amazing things to do within walking distance. If it wasn't for the wedding, I'm not sure we would have left the AA district at all! And it was great to have your cozy home to come home to!Did you find this review helpful? Deb's place was great for a weekend getaway to Portland, and I could easily imagine staying there for a more extended period if I had the opportunity to spend more time in the city. The house was clean and comfortable throughout, and proved very warm and cozy, despite the weather being cool and rainy while we were visiting. It was the perfect place to end up at the end of a long day exploring Portland. The location was fantastic - tucked within a great neighborhood full of bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and food carts, easily accessible by car with plenty of street parking available and lots of zipcars parked nearby, and just a quick jaunt to downtown Portland by bus. I would be delighted to stay at the Sweet Spot next time I'm visiting.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We absolutely loved staying here! There were two bars within walking distance for those of us old enough to drink (some vegan bar on one side of the grilled cheese bus, and the radio room (which is coffee) on the other). Alberta Street itself is lined with all sorts of gems as well--we walked up and down both ways and found a bunch of goodies: a vegan cafe with some seriously tasty gluten-free options (Back to Eden--try the muffins!), a grocery co-op, a sushi place, and open mic night.... wish we could have stopped at all of them. The back room was perfect for the third of us so we all felt very spread out. I stayed in the pink room off of the kitchen and the futon was surprisingly comfortable. There's an HDMI in on the tv too btw. Deb was kind enough to run over in the span of a few minutes to help us when us out of town software engineers couldn't figure out the faucet on the shower (we now feel more like locals. turns out you pull down on the faucet-thing.), and there was tea provided and two fancy lookin' (possibly local?) chocolate bars on the coffee table when we came in. We would glad stay here again for as long as we possibly could.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
