Our family gathered at Wood Shoe to celebrate Christmas 2012 and our Mother's 90th Birthday (also on 12/25). This spacious home was a perfect location for all to share these memorable events. The home was spacous and beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed the breathtaking views of the gulf. Needless to say, the vast kitchen was ideal for the occasion as with the many beautiful decore bedrooms and baths. The pictures on this website do not completely dipict this awsome place. Each of our family members are now discussing when we can return to the amazing "Wood Shoe". Thank you to the owners for allowing us to share their gorgeous home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Our family spent the 4th of July week in this wonderfully designed and spacious home and enjoyed it a lot. The location is ideal and the room inside is more than adequate. The pictures don't show how beautifully decorated it is on the inside and the kitchen is a dream. We have rented several houses in Carillon in the last 6 years and the neighborhood and community are fantastic for families both quiet and private. On a practical note there were some very obvious things needed in the house which we ended up having to provide. They are small details but I hope the owners/managers will take note and supply these in the house. One thing was a grill.(advertized that there was one but there wan't one)So we purchased a small one to cook out. A few other things are extra towels for baths and kitchen (we purchased kitchen towels at Publix), dish drainer, drying racks for wet suits,towels, etc., Clear instructions for the media center downstairs.(we were never actually able to watch movies, etc), broom/dust pan, mop or vacumn (needed before the week is up when children are included) and a large kitchen clock. There could never be any complaints about the house or the perfect location. The practical things which I have mentioned have come from experience in renting houses for many years. I hope you don't find it too critical.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
