East End Historic District house description

Welcome to your HOME away from HOME. This is the perfect place for a family and friends get-away. Great Location! We offer a fully stocked kitchen including coffee, tea, sugar and splenda. Plenty of towels, body wash and toilet paper. Fresh sheets ready for a great comfortable night’s sleep. This location is great for everyone. New park across the street with swings, skateboarding and tennis. We also include racquets and tennis balls. Nice foosball table in the garage.
Home is a short walk to the new PLEASURE PIER. The house sleeps 12, has 4 bedrooms, a loft and two full bathrooms, a large living area and kitchen. We have a flat screen TV in the living room and a TV in each of the 4 bedrooms. Superfast cable internet with XFINITY. DVD player in the living room. We will be adding new things every day for your comfort. We have a big 2 car garage with parking behind it so you don't have to park on the street.

                            Wonderful location! We were walking distance from just about everything on the island. The Pleasure Pier was practically in the back yard. We walked to the Galveston Convention Center for our competition and found some really fun little places to eat. Float and the Spot are just a couple of blocks down the street. I didn't even move my car all weekend! The owners provided everything that we could possibly need for our trip. The house would definitely sleep two families comfortably. Big, fluffy pillows on nice, soft, clean beds were provided in every room. The kids enjoyed the foozball table and stereo in the garage. They have a nice little picnic table area in the back yard as well. We will definitely be back this summer!

                            Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing, girls getaway.

                            My family and I had a great time here. It was perfect for our family of 5 and 2 dogs. There was still enough room left over to share it w another family.

                            Ideal for my purposes: getting an extended family together for a beach holiday. Perhaps not the poshest place but completely functional and comfortable. Convenient for all Galveston attractions and great facilities for children right across the street. A well run property with no surprises.

                            Owner response: We welcome all of our reviews but we think it is very posh. House was built in the 1920's and has a very historical look. We upgraded to include new appliances, all new beds, new gas grill outside, new central air for the comfort of our guest while not trying to change the historical look. It is very nicely decorated on the inside with a beach decor along with being very comfortable. You will love our house and location as shown by our reviews.

                            The rental was awesome. Short walk to the beach and right at the Pier and restaurants. The house had everything you could imagine. Plenty beds, linen, towels etc. I brought things that I thought would not be there and Vicki and Walt had it all. Thanks for making our vacation a home away from home. THE WILLIAMS

                            Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing, girls getaway.

                            I cannot thank you enough for allowing my family to stay at your beach house. It truly gave us the best time we've had since we started visiting Galveston. The house felt so comfortable and welcoming and the location was perfect. Everything we needed was available. I look forward to renting the beach house again next year.                             Awesome place to stay! Very Clean, well reflected in rental listing. This rental was more than we expected, it met our needs and so much more. The owner checked on us as we arrived and kept in contact incase we needed anything during our stay. We had plenty of room for our members to stay, the garage was plenty big enough to accomidate 12 motorcycles with room to spare. It is in close proximity to all the essential places to visit while in Galveston. We were on the seawall, downtown strand area, west of town at other venues and it never seemed like we had to travel very far at all. The commute to anywhere on the island was very minimal which helped us enjoy our stay. This Rental is Awesome and we look forward to staying here again in the future. We would recommend this rental to others and we will deffinatly use it again. Thank you Walt and Vicki!!
