This quiet and cozy 1430 sq. ft. chalet is situated on a heavily treed, 3/4 acre lot, 3 miles south of the main entrance to Sunriver. Enjoy the view from the 22 foot tall wall of windows in the great room, which brings the outdoors in. This well cared for home has a fully equipped kitchen and open layout, perfect for relaxing and enjoying time with family and friends. Located just outside the hustle and bustle of Sunriver, Riverpines Chalet allows you access to the resort's amenities and provides a place to escape to when you want to leave the crowds behind.
Riverpines Chalet is just 20 miles from both Mt. Bachelor and the city of Bend. Take in all the area has to offer; no matter the season, there is something for everyone. Enjoy winter sports such as skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling, or relax by the fire with a good book. In the summertime, go hiking or biking in the Deschutes National Forest, then spend the evening relaxing on the back deck or soaking in the spa under the stars. Golfing, fishing and hunting in the Spring and Fall make for a year-round vacation destination.
Riverpines Chalet features two bedrooms downstairs, the Bear Room and the Ski Room, with a shared bath. The Leaf Suite is upstairs and includes an additional TV, double vanity and shower in the bathroom, and an adjacent loft with a convertible sofa bed. Dining areas, both inside and out, have seating for six, and there are also two bar stools at the counter and two additional chairs for lounging on the deck. The Chalet sleeps six humans comfortably, and also has room for a furry friend or two. It's the perfect home away from home.

This home fit our needs perfectly. Bathrooms were well stocked with lovely linens and extra supplies. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals at the house. It was very close to cross county skiing areas and shopping when we needed things. We felt like we were at home in this comfortable setting. The owners were very helpful with suggestions of places to see and where to get sno-park permits. Can't wait to go again in the spring to see what that season holds.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is a great house. While not large, it lives very big. My family of 6 was quite comfortable the entire time. A loft provides an escape, and having toddlers, we appreciated the child gate on the stairs. This location is quick to find, right off Solar Dr, and closer to the mountain (if that's a destination goal) than if you stay in the "circles" of Sunriver. From the home to Mt Bachelor ski area is approximately 25 minutes or thereabouts. The hot tub was wonderful, the kitchen well-appointed, and the beds comfy. The only thing that we weren't in love with was a lack of overhead lighting in the bedrooms. Bedside lamps suffice in the bedrooms. Hardly a deal-breaker, just a little inconvenient walking in at night. We didn't use the outdoor grill since the kitchen stove has a handy grill surface built in. We didn't bring our dog, but they are pet friendly and have dog treats and accessories on site. This is definitely a home we would recommend to others, and are likely to rent again ourselves. Owners are pleasant and easy to deal with.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We loved a relaxing 4-days in this cabin. Snowshoe adventures were great in the area, movies, and playing games...what a fantastic way to spend our Thanksgiving this year. Thanks for a cozy place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/1

The pictures were perfect and so was the property. I stayed here with my husband, 5 yr. old son, sister & brother-in-law and 2 nephews for a week. We had enough room to be together or get away from each other. There was room outside for the boys to explore, the guys to BBQ and all of us to relax. The river was right there so we took a long canoe trip. The most relaxing vacation I've had in years; I will be coming back. Thanks Susan and Jeff!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This is a wonderful, quiet property surrounded by trees. We loved the wall of windows in the main room and found the home clean, comfortable, well maintained and as advertised. It was the perfect size for our family (and our dog!) and we enjoyed our stay here very much. We would definitely recommend this property.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We arrived at the Riverpines Chalet to find a quaint, cozy home, tucked back from the road, very clean and ready for guests. Because it was the summer time we spent a lot of time outside: taking walks to the river, biking through Sunriver, reading on the back deck, grilling and enjoying leisurely dinners, etc. etc. However, what was really great about the Riverpines Chalet, is that it is a place where you just naturally want to also spend time curled up on the couch, watching movies, reading magazines, chatting, or listening to music. We had a wonderful weekend and can't wait to get up there again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We were so pleased with our stay in this home. The home is very clean and well cared for and everything was supplied throughout the house, including all kitchen items. The owners were prompt and helpful in their responses to our inquiries. The view from two story windows in the front of the house was spectacular. We watched the deer walk through the yard several times. The hot tub was a real plus. This home is easy to find yet feels like it is very secluded. We enjoyed hikes to the park and the river and walks around the neighborhood as well as sightseeing trips to various points of interest. We would definitely stay here again when visiting this area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a wonderful stay at the Riverpines Chalet! You may think you want to come to Sunriver for the outdoor adventures but once you relax on the super-comfy love seat or take a dip in the hot tub, you may change your mind! The home is really clean, comfortable and well-apportioned with any kitchen gadget or dish you could want (even coffee supplies, spices or that other random thing you forgot to pack). Although it is on a street and not far from other houses, you still get a feeling of privacy and it is very quiet. The owner was very prompt and easy to deal with. For the number of amenities and amount of space you get, this house is a real bargain. No reason not to book it!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: We live in the Portland area and love having a high-desert escape that we can enjoy year round. We love to go snowmobiling and cross-country skiing when there's snow, and hiking and biking when it's sunny and warm. A big night on the town for us usually entails heading into Bend for Chinese food and a movie. Our two dogs, Shep and Bella, are crazy about this house and enjoy the local wildlife. 'Squirrel!'
Why the Owner Chose Other Sunriver Properties:
We chose this home because of its unique layout and chalet-style build. We really liked the prow front with all of the windows and the fact that it didn't feel like a run-of-the-mill house. We spent a lot of time finding furnishings and decor that added to the cabin-like feel in our much loved home away from home.
