Fall in Cuchara
I loved my stay at River’s Edge and would recommend it to a family for a great vacation. The town of Cuchara is so quaint and the people are very friendly. Two good places to eat in town.

Perfect family retreat
Perfect family retreat
What a beautiful and inviting vacation property! Well-appointed, spacious and right next to the Cuchara River. Our party of 8 (4 adults, 4 grandkids) loved it. The kids enjoyed playing in the river and being able to walk around town on their own. (Where else can kids do that?) The adults loved evenings filled with open windows, the sound of the river and an overnight of rain. Ahhhhh! Our VRBO contacts were professional and helpful every step of the way.

The house was beautiful and the location next to the river's edge made our stay relaxing and full of activities for the kids. The house met everyone's expectations. Thank you for hospitality. The clean house and fully stocked kitchen made our stay easy. The short walk to the Dog Bar Grill made it easy for adults to get away while kids were having fun at the house. Day trip to Sand Dunes, La Veta and over the pass were easy and fun. Nearby hikes were great to take advantage of with the kids. Thanks again!

Our family came together in Cuchara for some much needed face time. We chose these accommodations for the space required, proximity Cuchara, and the overall amenities offered. This home satisfied our needs completely. "Luxury" home? More like luxury cabin - that description would have earned an excellent rating. We were not disappointed, don't get me wrong, and would not change a thing if we had to do it over. LIked the openness of the main room and the privacy of the bedrooms. Wifi was a bonus.

The cabin was great for our needs. We had a mixture of ages and it accommodated us all very comfortably. For a large group we had plenty of space to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. The cabin was beautiful and everyone was very complimentary of the amenities. We enjoyed being right in the middle of town to be able to walk to the Dog Bar, shops and putt putt! Our family has vacationed in Cuchara for over 60 years and this cabin is one of our favorites!

R & R at Rivers Edge
R & R at Rivers Edge
Our two families had so much fun and a great experience this past weekend at Rivers Edge. It was really clean, well equipped and the 5 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms were very accommodating for our large group. In addition to the Lodge, the charming attached cabin in back made the perfect additional living space. The privacy and sounds of the Cuchara & Dodgeton river, right outside along the front was so relaxing, yet within walking distance to the heart of Cuchara. We highly recommend Rivers Edge as a Cuchara mountain vacation rental and look forward to our next stay.

A Wonderful Family Holiday
A Wonderful Family Holiday
My husband's family had always had the wish to spend the Christmas holidays in the mountains. We were able to finally achieve that dream this year. Our experience exceeded any hopes or wishes we had for the trip. The home comfortably suited our family of 6 adults and 5 children along with 2 large holiday dinners. The 2 kitchens were a huge benefit to us as we cooked Christmas dinner and New Year's dinner. The location was incredible as we could walk to downtown, driving distance to mountains to hike & sled, as well as close enough to major towns for any special needs. New Year's in Cuchara was so much fun!! It felt like it was out of a story/movie. There was singing in the street along with their own lowering of the pine cone! The townspeople were all super friendly and accommodating. The property management company for the condo were so awesome. They decorated the home for Christmas before we arrived at the home. They had even gone out and cut down 2 Christmas trees!!! It was amazing!! They were so helpful with any questions or needs that we had. We are looking forward to going again and recommend it to everyone!! Thank you!!!
