Our immediate family spent 11 nights at this property over 2012 Christmas and New Years. We wanted a true beach house in a natural setting in an nice residential area.....away from the commercial area. This house delivered on every promise. The house is not directly on the Atlantic but is very close to the Ocean and Rodanthe Pier. The view of the Ocean in un-obstructed from every floor. Almost every window has a view either of the Atlantic or Bay side....or both. The house in located in upscale Hatteras Island Estates. The minute we turned on to Caribbean Way, we knew we made the right choice. While we were just 8 people, the house can easily absorb twice that number, or more, with 8 bedrooms and large kitchen-living area....game room, hot tub and more. The house had two dishwashers, two refrigerators and two under-house parking spots. The owner and management company were most accommodating. Hopefully we'll be able to return to Rodanthe and we would not hesitate to repeat the experience in this property.Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
