  First of all...location, location, location and this place met it all. Right off the beach, awesome views and quiet evenings to enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. And the owner was very prompt and courteous from beginning to end. We will be back and mahalo/thank you for giving us the inoculation of paradise we needed. The property had all the amenities and comforts that the five star hotels provide but at a much cozier and less crowded way. We even had the pleasure to witness a Hawaiian wedding ceremony just off of our lanai on Sunday morning.

  This was our first experience with VRBO and it went off without a hitch. So happy to have chosen this particular condo in this most beautiful resort. This condo is on the 2nd floor...one floor below it and one above it. We never once heard a neighbor through the walls or ceiling. Very quiet except for the ocean which we loved. The resort itself is quiet and low key. Each night the tiki torches are lit along the ocean front and it is absolutely beautiful. The ocean is pretty calm right here and you can touch for a long way out. Snorkeling is easy and you get some very close encounters with the resident turtles. One was even out on the sand of our beach one morning making some excellent photo opportunities. The condo is very clean, nicely equipped and has a very comfortable bed. One thing to note is the resort is doing some construction to each set of building here over the next 3 years. It was going on in the building next to ours while we were here and we were thankful it wasn't our building as the people couldn't use their lanais. I asked about when they would start on our building and they thought it would be either in 2014 or 2015, so you might ask before booking. It was a little noisy during the day while they worked which took a little bit of perfection from us, but we would so highly recommend this unit and this resort even with the construction next door. Hoping to return and will definitely book this same unit. Loved loved loved it!

  This was our first trip to Hawaii and the first time staying in a VRBO. As we're used to staying in 5* All Inclusives in Mexico or Jamaica, we had reservations about staying in a condo and having to buy groceries and cook but because this condo has all the amenities you need and 4 sparkling clean gas BBQs it was easy peasy! This particular suite is probably the best of the whole complex as it is an end unit with a large window in the living area as well as the huge lanai on second floor overlooking the gorgeous beach and then another beach just steps away. The pictures in the listing are exactly as it appears in person. Honestly, I think you would have to spend twice what we did at minimum (and believe me I did research) to do any better....The condo is immaculately clean and the king bed is super comfy. The owner was easy to communicate with and she's thought of all the little extras like a cooler bag and a larger cooler to have picnics or road trips. Great location, very peaceful and quiet yet only a short walk down the road to the farmer's market and amenities. If you scuba dive, call Extended Horizon's they are simply the BEST, great snorkeling is about a 20 min. drive north to Honolua Bay. Pacific Whale Foundation gave us an amazing whale experience and be sure to go into the town of Lahaina and check out the shops, eat at Captain Jacks and see the beautiful Banyan Tree and craft fair on Saturdays. Couldn't have asked for better....if you're going to Maui, this is THE place!

  My wife and I were looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating time away, in my opinion if this is what you are looking for as well, you will not find any place better. This is not a five star resort but however the resort, the pool and the grounds are all kept up very well. The kitchen has everything you need for the basic cooking needs, although a couple of wine glasses would be appreciated. The bed was more comfortable than any I have slept on anywhere while on vacation, the bedroom is a little tight but I think it is worth it to have the comfortable king bed . And the one thing that sets this condo apart from even the five star resorts is the view, when you are inside you can sit on the couch and look out over the small beach through the side window and when you are on the lanai it is almost as private as being in the condo and the views are incredible. At this time of year the whales were visible everywhere and several times they would breach completely out of the water fairly close to the condo it was amazing!!!

  My husband and I stayed in this condo for 2 beautiful weeks. We were extremely comfortable during our stay and found this condo to be pretty ideal. Since we stayed during the winter, we were able to whale watch and we were also able to see turtles on a daily basis (although we saw them when we were in the water versus other reviewers that were able to spot them from the lanai). We were even fortunate to have a rare Hawaiian Monk Seal nap on the beach next to the condo! The location of this condo was also ideal as we had a number of friends staying in Kaanapali and Lahaina, which are only 5-10 minutes away by car. Also, I have to agree with the other review that noted how comfortable the bed is. I even emailed Eileen and asked her what memory pad she purchased because we loved it so much! We also appreciated all the extras in the condo such as the beach chairs, the cooler, the beach towels and the fully stocked kitchen. We thought ahead and brought our own binoculars so we could scout for whales, but we also found an extra pair in the condo as well. Really, we can't complain about anything in the condo! As for recommendations, for anyone visiting Maui, I HIGHLY recommend the Sansei restaurant. It's a sushi/Japanese restaurant it was one of the best meals we had on the island. There is one located in Kapalua and one in Kihei. We had a 45 minute wait, so you may want to try making a reservation first. Also, we had a wonderful experience with the Pacific Whale Watching excursion, although I wouldn't really brag about the food they served during the sunset cruise. But they definitely found some whales for us to watch, and they were right next to the boat. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Eileen!

  My sweetheart and I stayed in this idyllic spot to celebrate his "5-0" in Hawaii. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay in this fantastic location. We loved looking out over the ocean watching sunsets, rainbows, and even a gorgeous full moon over the islands of Lanai'i and Molokai. And we saw HUGE sea turtles right below the lanai nearly every day of our stay. Eileen was a wonderful virtual hostess. We found her to be very friendly and quick to respond to our inquiries. The property was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and well stocked with everything we needed to settle in and enjoy our stay. Some specifics about this unit: one thing I didn't see mentioned by other reviewers is the amazingly comfortable bed! We both travel quite a bit and are often longing to get home to our own bed by the end of a trip. But the bed in this condo was fantastic. Great mattress with a memory foam topper, and plenty of extra pillows in the closet. We both slept better here than we do at home (though the lullaby of the surf probably helped a lot too). As is typical of Hawaii rental condos, this place is very SMALL -- particularly the bedroom, which is almost completely filled by the aforementioned California King bed. But we didn't mind that at all, since we didn't fly all the way to Maui to spend our vacation indoors anyway. Most of our time at the condo was spent outside on the lanai, listening to the surf and soaking in the gorgeous views. Only about a 10 minute drive from the town of Lanai, this was a wonderful home base for our adventures. We would definitely stay here again. Speaking of adventures, we highly recommend Trilogy Excursions. We took an all-day sailing trip with them from Lahaina over to the island of Lanai'i. Excellent snorkeling, great food, and outstanding service from the captain and crew. Definitely the highlight of our trip! Mahaolo for everything, Eileen. We felt very at home in your lovely condo, and look forward to returning again SOON. Aloha!

  Every aspect of the condo was great. We could not have found a better location or condo to stay in, We've been to Maui on 4 previous occasions (all, wonderful vacations), this was the best, the condo made it all worthwhile! I cannot rate this condo high enough. I hope to make this an annual trip and location. It was the best!!! We swam with the sea turtles which are right outside the the balcony.

  The Good: + The best condo in a beautiful, quaint complex. Huge oceanfront view with surprisingly private lanai. + Simple access to excellent beach and reef. More turtles than you can shake a cuttlefish at. + Well-maintained, settled in gardens, pool, barbeque area. Quick access to laundry, recycling, parking, etc. + Good mix of people at the complex, including: empty-nesters (of course), active families, and (to my surprise) locals. + The owner takes good care of the place, with much aloha. The Bad: Experts say reviews lack credibility if there's no negative stuff, so I'll try to think of something... - Lamps in living room didn't match. - Knives weren't very sharp. - AND, the sunset was sometimes so bright that I had to wear dark glasses indoors! Boo-hoo! Bottom Line: A great choice that I am recommending to friends and family.

  This unit has the best view in the complex, We saw turtles everyday. One time there were six right in front of us. The unit has everything one needs and the location could not be better. this place is so relaxing we hate to leave. We will be back again. We used the BBQ and had quiet dinners on our lanai watching the beautiful sunsets and listening to the waves and just taking life easy for a week. our stay could not have been better, thanks Eileen, we will be back!

My unit is smack oceanFRONT.The whales play in plain site right off of my lanai.You may also view the ones further out with the use of binoculars left for my quests in the condo. You may observe the turtles just below my 6 foot side window.Wake in the morning to see little heads popping out of the water.The turtles will let you swim beside them but must not touch.Hawaiian endangered species law.
