The Wild Bunch River Ranch, LLC is a Colorado sportsperson's playground! We are ideally situated along a PRIVATE 1/2 mile stretch of the UNCOMPAHGRE RIVER, which is fishable year-round! We also feature 2 private ponds; a 3.2 acre and a 1 acre STOCKED FISHING POND, along with a vast array of spectacular wildlife! We are ideally situated at the hub of some of the best activities in southwest Colorado.
Guests at the Wild Bunch River Ranch, LLC will personally enjoy the rustic elegance of their own private WESTERN SALOON AND BUNKHOUSE. Located pond-side and built in 2005, your unique accommodations were designed in the true spirit of the wild, wild, west with all the modern day comforts of home; yet staying here one senses that the old west has been kept alive and well!
The Floor Plan features a COWBOY SALOON and GAME HALL on the first level, which feels as authentic and relaxed as an old wrangler hanging out around the bar! The small, yet fully functional Kitchen features a full-size Dishwasher, a custom-designed Copper Prep Sink, a freestanding compact 4-burner Gas Range with Oven, a small Microwave Oven, an under-counter Bar Refrigerator w/Freezer, a Butler's Pantry with an additional small Refrigerator/Freezer, along with a much-desired 50 lb Automatic Ice Maker.
To further capture the eye and imagination of an era gone by, the WESTERN VICTORIAN DECOR is embellished with scarlet painted walls, black and gold velvet drapery and authentic brothel tokens permanently encased within the bar countertops. The call of the wild would not be complete without the COVERED FRONT PORCH with rocking chairs showcasing the vast variety of wildlife. And last but not least, a serene 3.2 acre STOCKED FISHING POND, which is just a cast away from your front porch!
After a ride on the PADDLE BOAT or the TANDEM KAYAK, guests might want to enjoy our SAND BEACH, visit our curious ALPACAS, walk along the various pathways throughout our 40-ACRE RANCH or hang out along the UNCOMPAHGRE RIVER waving at the white water rafters going by! During the winter months, guests will enjoy our ranch acreage for cross-country skiing and snow-shoeing. One of our many unique features is the proximity of the Uncompahgre River offering some of the finest YEAR-ROUND TROUT FISHING anywhere!
Back inside your lodging, guests will want to play a friendly game of AIR HOCKEY, DARTS, CHECKERS on our custom-designed checker table, or watch a show on the BIG-SCREEN TELEVISION.
The upstairs is just as playful with a fully-operational 'INDOOR-OUTHOUSE,' and select antique furniture recalls the history of a VICTORIAN PARLOR! Here you will also find a Book Table, along with the Sleeping Quarters, which consist of 4 Semi-Private Chambers, each with distinguishing western characteristics, and each featuring a Queen-Sized Bed, Alarm/Clock Radio, Fan, Mirror, and custom-built oversized pull-out drawers. If an additional bed is needed, the downstairs Game Hall offers a comfortable pull-out queen-sized sofa bed.
With all the RIVERS, LAKES, HOT SPRINGS, GOLF COURSES, MOUNTAINS, MESAS, VALLEYS and CANYONS to explore in and around our region, it's no wonder the area begs guests to be outside! We stayed at the Wild Bunch Ranch for 5 days. Rick and Suzette were wonderful hosts. It was perfect for our family of five. We each had a separate sleeping area. Everything was clean, the house was well maintained and very beautiful. The kids wanted to stay and play at the ranch. They were able to play air hockey, kayak, paddle boat, go down to the river, see the alpacas, fish, and play croquet by the pond. We were close enough to everything we wanted to do, Ouray, Telluride, Black Canyon, and Montrose. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this rental!Did you find this review helpful? When searching for a property that would house 7 people for a family vacation, I came across this listing and thought we would give it a try. From the first call the owner was very attentive and followed up with information about the area and directions to the home. We got there and the owners greeted us with a smile. The property is AMAZING! Better than the pictures. The main floor of the lodge is open and arranged perfect for visiting with friends. The upstairs bedrooms are dorm style but there is privacy in each sleeping area The owner has put a lot of thought into the western decorations and there is much attention to detail. The whole lodge is VERY CLEAN with modern conveniences. The outside area has big front porch with rockers overlooking the ponds and river. We paddled the kayak and paddle boat all around. We also caught 12" rainbow trout from the river right beside the lodge and the kids loved catching the little perch. Inside and out - this place is great for families or adult get togethers. The hosts were super helpful and we will definitely come back to this beautiful retreat!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Staying at the Wild Bunch River Ranch was definetly one of our most memorable vacations. The experience we had with the wildlife and the alpaca farm on site was unbelievable. Nothing like stepping out the front door of the cabin only to see deer and elk roaming the fields. The sound of the river running right next to the cabin was so soothing that often throught the day I could hear the upstairs beds tucked away in their own little nooks beckoning me come snuggle up in them. Of course, I did give in to the beds every so often. The kids loved roaming the woods and the paddle boat on the pond which was located in front of the cabin, was no doubt the most enjoyed activity throughout the evening. As a family we all agreed that this was a 5 star vacation for us and will be going back soon. We loved every minute of our stay and made some really great friends. Rick and Suzette are wonderful hosts and beautiful people. Thanks to them and all they did for us. Will be looking forward to another great vacaction with the Wild River Bunch Ranch again.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

this place was the best!!!!!! we had such a great time staying at this cabin. it was truely a home away from home it had everything plus more. we got to see so much wild life running threw plus deer walking right up to the front door. the fishing was great and watching your two dogs go fishing was even better. i cant wait to see you again next year. if you are going to Colorado and need a place to stay that is around everything but still in the wild, then this is the place for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you again, DarylRecommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The Wild Bunch Ranch is truly a slice of Heaven! We are now going to be "regulars". My family, Sara, Hunter, Ryder, and Sami, our brittney spaniel had a blast! Fishing in the river or the private pond is very rewarding. The location is central to many beautiful destinations such as the Gunnison, Telluride, Ouray, and many more. Big game hunting in the area provided some great encounters and game. My boys, 8 and 3 were also able to enjoy the fishing with the biggest smiles ever!! The Ranch owners will welcome you with open arms, warm hearts, and make you feel like family. My family and I are truly hooked on The Wild Bunch Ranch! My hunting friends and I had a wonderful time in your awsome cabin on your beautiful ranch. We had a great hunting experience in your local mountains. It was funny to come back to the property and see more wildlife running around the fields than when we were out hunting. We enjoyed having relaxing afternoons fishing in the pond and stream. It was nice to come back to a hunting camp with all the ammentities of a home. The air hockey table was a hit every night. There are so many things to see and do around your place. I can't wait to come back next season. The most beautiful, tranquil paradise we have ever been too. We had so much fun fishing, hiking, and THE SALOON was a blast. We went to Telluride as it was very close and tried the restaurants and ran into some locals that had a family reunion at the WildBunch Ranch and they felt the same way we did. There is no place like it. The first few days we were taken in by the beauty of the area; very private. The rest of the time we were taken in by the fishing! They have an Alpaca farm and that was very interesting. We had picnics and barbeques; just too much fun. The owners are really into making sure the property is maintained to perfection and are just the nicest people. The sunsets and my margeritas became the focal point of the day. We went into town and a few times, but spent most of the time enjoying the surroundings of the lodge. The lodge itself looks brand new and is a constant conversation piece. we have stayed at other lodges and nothing like this.Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.
