My Husband and I searched for a place to stay with our lab, Dakota. We stumbled across this property and after a couple of emails with Connie, the owner, we were happy to book for three nights. The studio is wonderfully decorated and impeccably clean. We were very happy when we walked in the door and saw how beautiful the place was. Every inch of the studio is thought out and well stocked with supplies. The bed was very cozy and it was nice having the little sofa in the bedroom for the dog. Dakota made herself right at home and enjoyed her time as well. The property is a short walk from the beach, but we did not mind it at all. Each evening we walked our dog to the beach and threw the ball into the ocean for her. Connie was sweet and accomodating. She gave us suggestions on where to go when we asked her about places to go. She even talked us through how to turn the TV on when we were having trouble figuring out how to turn the cable on. We will definately be booking again for our next beach trip in Seagrove! Thanks Connie!Recommended for: Pet owners.
Owner response: I have to say that you both were "The Perfect Beach Couple"! It was great to have you both here and to have Dakota your dog happy as can be. Thank you for coming and for your great review.

My husband and I are a young couple who LOVE 30A. We got married there almost two years ago and have been itching to return ever since. We also have a big pup who loves to go with us, wherever that may be! He doesn't always get to travel with us, since he is a whopping 80 lbs. The three of us had a wonderful time at the house and on 30A. Moose swam at the lake and ran with us up and down the bike path. My husband and I spent a lot of time biking on the trails and stopping in stores along the way. The wind was too chilly to go to the beach one day, and the private back deck was the perfect spot for us to catch some rays. The studio is 100% equipped with all the necessities plus a few extras. We felt comfortable for the entire time we were there and would definitely return! We loved this secluded get-away and so did our big pup!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers.

I was very disappointed with the lack of professionalism from the owner and the house is at the end of a long gravel road half a mile from the beach which was further than expected. The studio is extremely small but well furnished. We had a friend from a neighboring town stop by for dinner (knowing he had to be gone by midnight as stated in the lease) and the ownder kindly showed us where to have him park. At 11:00pm I received a text message from the owner reminding us that our guest must leave by midnight; at 11:35pm someone came pounding loudly on the window to the studio and yelling our guest must leave immediately! When we realized it was the owner pounding loudly on the window we went outside to see her with two other people we had never seen before standing behind her. She continued to state loudly that our guest must leave immediately and we were extremely embarrassed as our guest walked to his car with the owner standing and watching (mind you this is still before the midnight curfew). We have a small, compact car and it barely fit in the assigned parking space. The backyard has a nice seating area however it is all sand and gravel so it's not very ideal for pets.Owner response: Thank you for your response. There is no midnight guest check out time in the lease. After knocking on your door several times in order to communicate with you I became worried that something was wrong. When you mentioned that your guest was not planning to leave, I politely stated that I would wait until you called your guest "a cab to get home safely". My parking space is large enough to park a 24' camper in and the beach access is on the south side of 30A.

Really enjoyed calling this lovely studio by the sea home for a week. So comfortable, quiet, nicely decorated, and with plenty of storage for belongings. The bathroom felt spa-like at the end of a sandy day. My dog liked having her own fancy settee and fenced yard. The spacious yard and deck were a bonus for entertaining. Location is a short walk to the beach, plus easy bike ride to Seagrove, Seaside, Alys and Rosemary Beach town centers via bike path. Close to bike and paddle board rentals. Owner is friendly and maintains property well. Didn't want to leave, but would return for future R and R!Recommended for: Pet owners, sightseeing, adventure seekers.
Owner response: You were Sea-lightful to have as a guest. During your visit I was happy to see that you were able to create the perfect mix of family, personal time, and possible career advancement! It was great that you were able to bike each day, have a barbecue with your family visiting the area, walk your cute puppy to the beach and go on job interviews! I do hope that you will be able to come back if not for a visit to live here permanently!

This was our first visit to the Beaches of South Walton and we were hoping for a few days relaxation in the warmer climate before heading back north for the end of the winter season. We were so very, very pleased with our choice of location and especially, the choice of the studio at this property. It was just perfect for our needs: extremely clean, quiet, private, and comfy. We loved the pleasant decorating inside, the perfectly supplied kitchen, and the the large, sunny deck outside. The location at the end of a street just off 30A meant it was easy to get to, within walking distance of beaches, and very quiet. Finally, Connie provided a warm welcome, helpful suggestions for our stay and a cheerful presence when we needed. We would highly recommend this place and are hoping to return for a longer visit the next time. This may become our winter getaway location!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Martha, Thank you for your nice review. I am so happy that the both of you were able to come - right before the spring crowds! I enjoyed meeting you and loved your enthusiasm! Taking a swim in the Gulf in March takes real nerve! I hope you will come again. Connie

Great little place! Clean and Comfortable. Plan to revisit when warmer. Used to live in the area and really enjoy 30A and its offerings as well as seaside, which you are very close to. Not a lot of room, but how much room do you require to relax, beach is nearby with an easy walk.Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for coming to enjoy the beach! I am glad that you could partake in the Seaside marathon while you were here. Yes, the studio is smaller than a full one bedroom but then the price is almost half as much. I am glad that you could bring your pup along and still be on the south side of 30A. Have a great spring.

My husband and I and our two dogs stayed in the studio for a long weekend. We loved it! The backyard is fenced in and great for relaxing and letting our dogs run around. Ms. Connie was so nice and accomodating..She made sure we had everything we needed. The studio is decorately nicely and is stocked with everything that is needed. Within walking distance to the beach but in a nice secluded environment with little traffic. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. We would definitely go back and hope to in the fall!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Natalie & Burt! Thanks for coming & bringing BK and Bud too! Your bright smiles were contagious to be around. Come back again and again won't you? Connie

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the studio. The furnishings were of the highest quality and beautiful. Our two pups made themselves right at home in the fenced in yard. It was great to be able to open the door and let them out. We rode our bikes to the surrounding towns and to the beach. Great fun!Recommended for: Pet owners, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Hollie, Thank you for your great review. I have to say, I think your two cute dachshunds would agree that they had a great time - especially at the beach! Come back again. Connie

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: I've owned my home since 2001. I love living in Seagrove near Eastern Lake. I enjoy taking photographs at the beach, traveling, painting, interior decorating, gardening or anything else that helps to create a wholistic-healty lifestyle. I am a Real Estate Broker for my own my own boutique real estate company, 'Gateway To 30A Realty'. I have a bachelors degree in fine art and have done the interior design makeover for my own home and many commercial spaces as well.
Why the Owner Chose Eastern Lake:
My home is located just two blocks from the beach/Gulf of Mexico at the end of a no through street on the South Side of 30A with its own parking. The studio is quaint with marble and wood floors, granite countertops, 10 ft ceilings. I live on the front side of the home which is very separate from the studio. The studio is a perfect beach getaway which I enjoy renting.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio:
Very private and quite with a large backyard. Clean, modern and bright. Perfect for a couple or individual who want to be close to the beach and not have to rent a large home. It is also pet friendly for those who want the perfect getaway for themselves and their pet dogs. Sorry no cats allowed. Close to 30A bike path, restaurants, and just 5 minutes to the beach town of Seaside. The Sandestin Outlet Mall is only 15 minutes away. Other seaside towns such as Rosemary Beach, Alys Beach, Seacrest Community, and Gulf Place are just minutes away.
