In the past two years, my husband and I have stayed at three other Herrick Guest Suites properties, all larger than this apartment because we shared them with friends. For our needs -- two people for three nights -- this apartment was perfect. It is newly decorated in an urban style and features updated shower and kitchen. As with all the Herrick properties, it was clean and well-maintained.The booking transactions are easy and efficient, and the people who have met us each time to hand over keys are friendly and helpful. The apartment is central to all West Village activity, including wonderful restaurants -- for lunch we tried a new Peruvian place around the corner that we highly recommend for delicious food and reasonable prices, and for a celebratory dinner we ate at Annisa's on Barrow Street. Our only dissatisfaction was with the (otherwise comfortable) bed in an alcove with no space around it.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
