This CUSTOM DESIGNED TWO-LEVEL LINDAL CEDAR HOME with 3500 square feet of living space, boasts sweeping panoramic views of the water, Mount Baker and breathtaking sunrises. The amenities are amazing in the energy efficient home. You will enjoy every luxury imagined, plus numerous custom features few homes include. The property includes 100 feet of low-bank waterfront, on .89 acres.
You enter this spectacular home through a grand entry of slate tile, vaulted ceilings, and cedar beams. The main level features an inviting living room, gourmet kitchen, elegant master suite, den (guest bedroom), computer room, laundry room, and a spacious deck that extends the entire width of the home.

I threw a bachelorette weekend for my sister and her friends. We had such a great time hanging out in the house- cooking meals, making a bonfire and just visiting. We did venture into town one day for coffee and a hike. The house is beautiful and well maintained and the view is breathtaking!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We had a great time staying at this wonderful Lopez home (even in the winter). The house was very spacious and clean, perfect for our family of 5. Outside was great as well with easy access to the beach and a nice area for the kids to play in. We had a campfire each night and even managed to throw a few horseshoes. All in all a great little getaway and lovely home.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners.

Our group of 8 had a wonderful time in this Lopez gem. With four couples the sleeping arrangement lacked some privacy, but for two couples and four or five kids this place is perfect! If you have a toddler, a baby gate for the carpeted stairs would be nice to have. Our pup had a blast playing on the beach. The sunrises were breathtaking with a surreal view of Mt. Baker. In the evenings an orange moon rose over the horizon. Bring a camera!Recommended for: Families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

Great house! Wonderful setting with views that draw you to the water. Huge lot with plenty of space to stroll near or on the water. We were there in November but it would be a great summertime setting for a barbeque. House has ample room for a group to spread out. We played games and took walks. A great blend of indoor/outdoor living.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

My parents came to visit me and my husband in WA. We decided to spend a few days in the San Juans and show them how beautiful it is. We decided at the last minute go and were literally looking for a place while waiting in the line for the ferry. I called on this place and they were so nice and helpful while other places required a minimum of 24 hour notice. She got right back to me and said it would be ready for us that afternoon. We got to Lopez and went by to see the place, they were still cleaning but they invited us in and told us to "make ourselves at home, we are almost done." So friendly. What a place! We enjoyed lots of horse shoes in the pit that is waterfront, cribbage on the deck and cooked delicious dinners! We did not leave the house once until we had to! It was a wonderful and comfortable place to stay. Quiet and peaceful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+.

The property looked exactly like the beautiful pictures on line. We received clear directions to the property which was important as this was our first trip to Lopez. The house was immaculately clean and had all the kitchen items we needed. Beds were comfy and it was wonderful to hear the birds in the morning. The property was private and quiet. Loved the big outside decks. We cannot even think of any suggestions to make to improve a family stay. It was a wonderful destination!!Owner response: Thank you Linda!! This place is really cool! The house had more than enough space for our 6 person party and a huge playground out back. Whether it was playing horseshoes out back, crabbing or getting fudge in the village- we were never bored from a lack of activities. Thumbs up to the management who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Thanks to all who made this a memorable family adventure, we'll definately be back! If you go, check out the Shark Reef Sanctuary....the wild life and ocean views were amazing!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children.

myself and some friends stayed for a three day weekend. the house is very spacious (appearing larger than the photos suggested) with a long deck. there are nice water views from most of the windows and a sense of privacy with just enough trees in the yard. it was spotless when we arrived. a few of us biked from the ferry so this is doable sans car. there is a great firepit with chairs right near the water and we were able to scavenge driftwood to burn in it. there's a rowboat but we were unable to find the paddles. the bay looks like a very peaceful place to be in a boat. the only inaccurate part of the description is that it is listed as having 4 bedrooms. there are actually 3 bedrooms that provide privacy. the trundle bed is off the entry hall with a partial wall and no door. this is not a bedroom. knowing that in advance would have been preferred but everything else about the home was perfect for our stay. any questions I had were answered immediately and the rental process was a breeze. I would most definitely stay there again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

then please consider renting this lovely home that will accomodate a large family or a couple of a single occupant. The home is in a very nice area of Lopez Island and from what i have heard.....long time Lopezians believe that the southeast part of Lopez is the most beautiful to be in. If you like to bike, people in cars or SUV'S are very respectiful and the island has many actual wide enough bike paths off of the main roads and the more primitive roads as well. The owner of the home is very professional and very helpful in recommendations and the caretaker is "her voice" on the island and he is very, very nice. He has lived on Lopez for almost 30 years so, he is "a true islander". The kitchen is fully stocked with everything a gourmet cook or a novice could wish for!! And the fact that the home is right on the water means a walk right down to the beach is always a delight.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, pet owners.

About the owner: My father purchased this property in the 1950's as a retreat from his medical practice in Seattle.He and my mother built a 'Tea House' style cabin on the property (available separately for rent). At the time, my father was the only doctor on the Island, and he ended up with many patients on the Island waiting to see 'Doc' when they arrived for their weekend get-aways. Our entire family (now 5 generations) have enjoyed the cabin and property since 1960. In 1999, my husband and I decided to retire to the Island, and custom-designed this Lindal Cedar home. My husband and I lived on Lopez and enjoyed our home for years. I later relocated to my 'other home town' Lake Chelan. My daughter is my property manager.
