Cozy beach house suited for a relaxing vacation with the whole family.
Refurnished kitchen includes granite counters, an “island” with barstool seating available, and double wall ovens.
Spacious living room with a fireplace and new furniture.
The dining room includes a large table which can be used for special occasions or just a family dinner.
Off the dining room there is a second living area with two daybeds.
On the first floor is the master suite with full bath and two twin sized beds.
Off ot the living room is a full bathroom.
On the second floor is a more spacious master suite with a king bed, a TV, and a luxurious garden style tub.
Warning: stairs to second floor are steep. The large 10 by 35 ft porch is connected to both the living and dining room and has a lot of seating available and is conveniently shady in sunny weather.
The back yard is equipped with patio, hot tub, grill, outdoor seating, and a surrounding fence.
Two cribs and two high chairs available to set up.
Shack à la Russe is situated in a peaceful residential area and is three blocks from Back River Beach and Back River Fishing Pier, as well as five blocks from the main beach. It is also close to various restaurants and shops. Shack à la Russe is pet friendly and mostly
handicap accessible. Parking for three is available. Two steps to entry, not ADA compliant.

We had a great time at the "Shack". No surprises, everything was described just as it is. The hot tub is enormous and works to perfection. The big front porch was perfect for dinner and keeping the kids occupied. The beach is definitely within walking distance as I walked to and from there twice, it may take 5 minutes or so. The pier is very close too if you like to go fishing. Thanks for everything Irina!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed staying at the Shack. The location is great, just a few blocks to the beach and close to the restaurants. We loved to hang out and have our meals on the porch and to spend night in the hot tub in the private back yard. Coming back again next summer! P.S. Place is great for kidsRecommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

We joked for weeks before our arrival, singing the 80s pop song, The Love Shack. But my husband and I along with our 3 kids and my mom knew from the photos that we had a most charming, spacious and polished getaway before us. The online pictures were as good in person as they were online. A white picket fence and plenty of parking made for ease and pleasure upon driving up to our island home. The neighborhood was only 4 blocks from the main shops, yet very quiet and easy going. The house itself is totally unassuming on the outside, but the oversized screened porch with table and seating for 6 was ideal for breakfasts and laying out towels in the breeze after the beach. The interior set a feeling of sophistication yet was comfortable for kids and adults. Loved the full size washer and dryer and the hot tub outside.
