Dan and Tessa's place in West Queen West was magnificent. The location was superb and lively by being on the streetcar route and also being adjacent to tons of shops, boutiques and restaurants. The aesthetics of the apartment were fun, comfortable and well appointed. The loft was very useful for a third person (especially a child). The unit also has a fabulous private deck that has seating so you could eat breakfast outside. Dan and Tessa are really nice people and were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again on our next vacation to Toronto.Did you find this review helpful? We've rented through VRBO more times than we can count, and this stay was one of our favourites. The location is fantastic, the condo has all the amenities you would want, and Tessa and Dan as hosts were outstanding! They are gracious, inviting and it was an absolute pleasure to meet them.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

I stayed here while renovations were going on at my house. This is a wonderful apartment with everything one could need. This best part is the neighbourhood - everything is within walking distance or just a streetcar ride away. No need for a car. The best restaurants, shops, and experiences are right outside this door. The patio is fantastic in the summer and people in this neighbourhood are friendly and eclectic. The owners are fantastic and will help you with anything you may need. If you want to experience Toronto from a vantage point other than a typical condo building, Queen West should be your first option.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

I had to be in Toronto for 2 weeks on business and wanted to stay in a place more like home than an apartment....this was definately that place. Great location, lots of fun boutiques that are open late enough to enjoy a bit of shopping after work. The restaurants close by are great with a plenty of variety and the weekend offers plenty of night life if you are looking to stay within walking distance and if you want to branch out it's just a quick taxi ride to some very swanky spots. The apartment itself was great, clean and comfy with a ton of character. If you are in the mood to prepare a meal the kitchen is well equiped. The owners are great! I'll definately be back for business or just for fun.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I stayed at Tessa & Dan's apartment for 5 nights in September. The apartment was extremely clean, spacious and private. Both Tessa and Dan were very accommodating hosts and answered all of our questions quickly even before we booked. The transaction was very easy as they accepted payment by paypal, cash or a check. The apartment is very much like the pictures, even a little larger than it appears. The living room is well set up with a comfortable leather couch and TV with cable. Wifi was fast. The full kitchen was immaculately clean and had more than we needed: full range/oven, refrigerator/freezer, electric kettle, two types of coffee makers. The decor is funky and cool, with lovely artwork. Everything felt new from the carpet to the linens. The beautiful sun drenched deck was a great place to enjoy morning coffee. The apartment is located on a very active street, yet was very quiet. It was much more pleasant than a hotel stay. Since we were staying for five nights as part of a longer trip across Canada, it was incredibly helpful to have a washer/dryer in the apartment. We definitely had everything we needed within arm's reach. The location is a perfect home base from which to explore the city. Much more pleasant than downtown and less than a block from the street car. There are numerous coffee shops, restaurants and bars within two blocks and even more beyond that. We easily traveled to museums, the Rogers Centre, Leslieville and West Queen West - all of the neighborhoods and sites we wanted to see. I definitely recommend this apartment for a short or long term stay. It is a comfortable, clean, convenient and cool home to return to after a day exploring a new city.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed here during a recent trip to Toronto. The location is perfect, within walking distance to loads of cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries....also an easy walk to Trinity Bellwoods Park. The apartment itself is wonderful - lots of room, comfy bed, nice little deck and all very quiet...we totally enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back again soon.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2006
About the owner: We live 1 1/2 hrs north of Toronto in the country. This apt has been our urban escape for years and we love it. It's bright, happy and located in our favorite part of Toronto. We have recently renovated the 3rd floor apt (previously used for long-term rentals) and have moved upstairs. We come down to the city approximately every 2 weeks. We have used VRBO ourselves and intend on providing guests a comfortable , stress free experience with easy availability to us at all times.
Why the Owner Chose Toronto:
Living on a farm, relatively isolated, is our baseline choice for living. However, intermittently, it's interesting and fun to immerse ourselves in an urban environment and our property is what we consider a perfect location to do so. We've traveled extensively and although each location is unique, Queen st w. Toronto is our favorite, due primarily to the multi-ethnic aspect of the place and proximity to various interesting venues.
