Trip of a lifetime!
Trip of a lifetime!
I stayed at this property when my wife and I visited New Orleans for our wedding. The house was accommodating and close to all the local areas we wanted to visit with easy access to anywhere. The house, though close to everything, was nestled in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The amenities were everything we could ask for. We were able to sleep the four people in our party comfortably and we could cook some of our own meals and do laundry if needed. The back yard had a wonderful sitting area under a magnificent banana tree where we could enjoy our morning coffee. The owner Carrie, was easy to work with and always true to her word. I hope to return some day soon to New Orleans and when we do, we will definitely be contacting Carrie to arrange a place to rest our heads. This house is charming and quaint and is everything a couple or a family could ask for in a home away from home!

Spent 4 days in New Orleans with my sister. House was exactly as described on the website. Easy walking distance to French Quarter, wonderful restaurants close by, great weather. Neighborhood friendly, very quiet at night. We didn't cook, but coffee pot was invaluable! Great value received !

We stayed here for a long weekend - Thursday night to Monday and had a great time. We rented a car and were a little worried about parking but always found street parking either on the same block or at most a block and a half away on Saturday night. And, even though it's about 3 blocks to Frenchman's Street, the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Once you get on Frenchman's Street, it's lively with all kinds of bands, jazz and fun art at night. It was always an interesting walk through to the French Quarter, with a 10-minute walk to the French Market and another few minutes to Jackson Square. The duplex itself was comfortable and very roomy for the 3 of us - me, my 28-year-old daughter and fiancée. We took the middle bedroom for easy access to the living room and TV and gave our daughter the more private back bedroom since she wanted to sleep late and didn't care about the TV. Beds were ok, pretty firm with lightweight comforters. Kitchen is adequate but not much in the way of cooking gear. But, we were in New Orleans so we only cooked one breakfast there anyway. All in all, this house was great because of the location, price and roominess. We would definitely stay here again.
