This was a totally relaxing B&B. My wife and I laid in the hammocks, sat in the tubs, and roasted marshmallows for smores by the fire. Everything said "welcome, relax, and enjoy yourselves". They had everything we might need and the breakfast was great. It was definitly a time to remember.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

What a treat this sweet retreat spot is! We had just finished a 18 mile hike on Mt Hood before our stay. From the arrival at 3pm Sat. to our final moments at the cabin the next day, we felt relax and pampered. The cozy, clean, rustic country ambimiance (and well stocked with xtras) cabin was a perfect place to stay. We slept like babies in the invitingly magical loft bedroom with hersey kisses sprinkled on the bed. I loved all the wood panneling and old doors plus antique fixtures in this place. Breakfast was fresh & healthy, beautifully prepared & served, and SCRUMPTIOUS! The owners attention to detail was appreciated. Her young son had even stacked the wood the day before in the fire pit by the soaking tubs so my friend and I could make somores before we soaked. Beautiful sitting areas are ther to be savored as well. The creek and the candel light provided the perfect backdrop for letting our cares, not to mention sore musle tensions from our hike, melt away. I highly reccomend staying at this wonderful place - the owner obvioulsy loves what she is offering weary city folks and other travelers seeking peace and comfort. I give this place and it's caring owner an A+ hands down. : )Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Stayed for 2 nights in June. Excellent location-the property is just beautiful, very natural and they have thought of every detail. A cute cabin with all the charm and modern offerings.Private setting. Amy had just taken over and was already a pro - there when you need here ,but very respectful of your privacy. The breakfasts she served were the best I have ever eaten at any B&B and rival Portland's top breakfast spots. Seriouly.... a lot of food and excellent quality-many organic items. The 2 outdoor soaking tubs are perfect down by the creek---so relaxing after a long hike.firepit (s'mores fixing included) and hammocks too-even bug spray! We also thought the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend it for a great getaway and would love to come back in the winter time. My only wish is that it had a small woodstove or fp---just my personal opinion.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Owner info
About the owner: We feel blessed to live where we love to play!
Why the Owner Chose Brightwood:
We desire to live surrounded by beauty. With the changing seasons there is always a different scene here at the Brightwood Guest House B&B.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
There is always something to do on the two acres we have here. You can wonder through the large organic garden, snack on some berries in the berry garden in summer, daydream while sitting down by the creek, take a hike on a nearby trail, stroll on over to the Sandy river, make smores by the fire, take a nap in a hammock, have a pick-nick on the porch by the waterfall and pond, or best of all have a soak in one of the cypress wood tubs with candles lit and a glass of wine in hand! Total bliss!
