We thoroughly enjoyed our short five day stay in this beautiful vacation property. The house was extemely clean and well stocked with all the amenities. The view of Pike's Peak from the sun room was priceless and also our favorite room to relax in. Ample space and parking for guests. We even experienced a small snow shower. Our stay in Woodland Park was during the first week in May and we cannot wait to come back for a longer period of time. Gary and Barbara from Austin, TexasRecommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Gary and Barbara - we were thrilled to host you! It's rare to see snow at that time of year but I'm glad you had such great weather the rest of the time. Thanks letting us serve you and I hope you come back again! Jim

My wife & I hosted our daughter, son-in-law and two small children. The home is well furnished and extremely quiet, which is a blessing with small children and naps. The home owner (Jim) provided many great tips of what to do in the area. His recommendation to eat breakfast at the "Hungry Bear" was wonderful. If you go there, remember to be ready to feast. On Saturday morning , we sat in the sunroom and watched 5 deer graze about 15 feet away from the window. This was a trill for the kids. Overall, we plan to return for a longer stay in the future.Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thanks Stu! Your family is exactly what we had in mind when we decided to open this home up for vacation rental. I am thrilled that you had such a great time and we look forward to your next stay.

A nice 2 tory house in a quiet neighborhood. It has a great view of Pike's Peak. The yard is very big and fenced so the dogs got to roam at will instead of having to be taken out which was great because it got very cold on Tuesday & Wednesday. The house is located close to a Walmart and Safeway for groceries and what ever else you might need. The kitchen had everything you need to whip up any sore of meal. I think the only thing that wasn't there was a toaster. There are plenty of outdoor activities in the area, hiking, mountain biking etc. Manitou Springs and Garden of the Gods are 20 minutes or so away and Colorado Springs is about 30 minutes. Highly recommend it. The owner was great and responded quickly to all emails. He also sent us a coffee mug with a photo of the house on it after we finished our stay. Thanks Jim!Recommended for: Pet owners, sightseeing, adventure seekers.
Owner response: You were fantastic to work with Dave. I sincerely hope your family (and dogs) will come back again! It was a pleasure to host you.

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation rental! The pictures accurately represent the home and it was very clean, being able to bring our dogs along was a big plus. The kitchen has everything necessary to cook and grocery stores are nearby. Woodland Park is very picturesque and so close to many attractions. Our favorite nearby places to visit are Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Mueller State Park and downtown Denver. The owner is personable and quick to respond. We will definately rent this home again on our next to visit Colorado.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: It was a pure joy to work with you Harold! We love to host families like yours. We very much look forward to having you back again.

This vacation home is gorgeous, quiet and a great get away. I live in the Denver area and was looking for an escape from my very busy and stressful life. Finding this haven was perfect because it wasn't too far from home but just far enough that I could call it a vacation. The home was clean, spacious and nestled in a very quiet neighborhood with gorgeous views of Pikes Peak. After staying here for 3 nights and 4 days I felt calm, rejuvenated, and ready to face the world again. Whether watching a movie, reading a magazine or having a cup of coffee in the morning on the enormous porch in the back overlooking Pikes Peak all of my experience on the property was serene. The weekend I was there Woodland Park had a major snow storm, this only enhanced my experience. I spent much of the weekend in the hot tub with snow lightly kissing my face. I have never been in a hot top in the middle of a snow storm, it was remarkable. To enhance my vacation I received a relaxing massage at one of the spas in town and ate breakfast at the Hungry Bear twice. I am originally from New Orleans where food is not taken lightly, breakfast was excellent. The location of the home is perfect because it is easy to zip into town and pick up necessities, have a beer at the local bar or go for a beautiful drive into the mountains. While close to town the home has the perfect location in a quiet neighborhood that makes you feel transported into a make believe land of stillness. I would recommend this vacation home to anyone.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: We hope you have many more times like this with us!

The cabis is great!! we stay there to spend holidays vacation and was a great family vacation!! We are from Mexico and our white christmas was so fun. I would say that is a quiet and pacific place, perfect to get some rest and calm time with my kinds (which is great to me because of my job I spend very log periods of time out of home and i really appreciate the time with my family on a warm, confortable and full equiped cabin... even with a hot tube -which i have not the lucky to try since the weather was very cold, but I am sure that during the summer should be amazing get in to the hot tube with my wife and some drinks!!Recommended for: Families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.
Owner response: It was a pleasure to serve your family Alavaro. We opened our home for vacation renters because we wanted to host families like yours - hoping they would create some memories just as our family has. We would love to have you back in 2013!
