A true 'hand scribed' newer log cabin really close to the ski mountain (approx. 1.5 miles) with authentic Colorado charm. You will not be roughing it here as the home has all in-floor high dronic heating, superb granite and slate finishes. Enjoy the outdoor hot tub just steps from your door on its own private deck or grill on the front deck to enjoy ski mountain and valley views. The decor is country and rustic. Room configuration is as follows: Main Level - bedrooms 1 and 2 . Bed 1 has queen bed, en-suite bathroom, walk in closet and door to deck and hot tub, bedroom 2 is a bunk with full (lower) and twin (upper). Upper Level - bedrooms 3 and 4 and loft. Bedroom 3 has queen bed, en-suite bathroom with spa bath, walk in closet, and private deck, bedroom 4 has queen fold out sofa and en-suite. Additionally, on the upper floor there is an open loft and reading area with two twin log beds.

My family of 4 totally enjoyed every aspect of our stay at the Ultimate Log Home in March 2012. We've always wanted to have a spring ski holiday in an authentic log home, but this property really exceeded our expectations! From when we first walked inside, the quality and ambience of the home was instantly appealing (WOW!). The living areas were very generous, with soaring ceilings and full length windows to take in the awesome view of the ski mountain, and we loved having barbeques on the big front deck. The kitchen and multiple bathrooms had quality appointments, and the kids loved the hot spa (especially during snow fall!) Bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable, and the central heating was excellent. Less than 10 mins drive to the mountain, market or downtown Steamboat. We would thoroughly recommend the Ultimate Log Home to anyone.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

About the owner: We moved to Steamboat 10 years ago from Australia to enjoy the benefits of mountain living, a friendly and fun-loving small community, with the benefits of a world class ski resort. Our twin boys were born in Steamboat. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do. We used to come to Steamboat Springs for skiing vacations when we lived in Australia. We found the quality of the snow, the friendliness of the people and the overall resources the best of all the Colorado ski towns. When we moved to the US, we got engaged in Steamboat, then married and then decided to move here and make it our permanent home. We haven't looked back since.
