This property was purchased by our family the summer of 2012 as a Florida vacation home. This 3BR, 3BA, 2200 square foot home has been updated with all new high-end Electrolux stainless steel appliances, new Samsung steam washer and dryer, new leather couch, new pottery barn and west elm furniture, as well as all new bath fixtures, mattresses, linens, and towels. You will love the easy care tile floors through out most of the home. Our home offers sweeping Gulf views from every room of the house. The home has a beautiful private pool that can be heated upon request.
Three beach bikes, boogie boards, folding beach chairs, beach towels, beach mats, beach bags, a beach cart, beach umbrellas, inflatable beach rafts, beach/pool toys and a small cooler are included.
There is an outdoor shower, a charcoal grill, and outdoor fish cleaning table.
We also offer 4 new LCD TVs with DirecTV, a DVD player, stereo, IPOD docks in each bedroom, wireless internet access, and a direct phone line for complimentary local/long distance calling. An AT&T microcell will provide better cell phone coverage for AT&T cell phone users.
This 1st tier property is right on the bike path and is only 100 steps from the beach with easy boardwalk access. At peak season, Saturday at 4 PM to Saturday at 10 am EST. Mid-November and January and February $1900 per week. Winter Holiday weeks (Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year) $2400 per week. Fall (late August to end of October $2500) March to Mid April $2800 per week. Mid-April to Mid May $2400 per week. End of May to Mid-August $2900.

Our home is in the private, gated community of The Plantation on St. George Island. St. George Island is a beautiful, pristine 22 mile long barrier island with white sandy beaches. Half of the island is Dr. Julian G. Bruce State Park which was voted the best state park in Florida. In 2012, St. George State Park beach was voted one of the 10 best beaches in the United States and was a backdrop for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit photo shoot. Enjoy an outdoor paradise away from high rise hotels and crowds. St George Island offers excellent fishing, restaurants, shelling, water sports, biking, and relaxation. Visit the nearby quaint historic town of Apalachicola. The nearest airports are Tallahassee and Panama City.

About the owner: My wife and I purchased this property the spring of 2012 and since that time we have been working hard to bring it up to our high standards and to make it a special place for our family, friends, and renters. The home has been painted, carefully furnished, and we have added many special touches to make it a place for our family to enjoy! We are from Bloomington, Indiana and we have three children ages 18, 22, and 25. We plan to rent this property when we are not using it, but we plan to use it as often as we can get to St. George Island.
Why the Owner Chose Plantation: St. George Island is exactly what we have been looking for in a Florida home. We wanted a private, natural, unspoiled area without high rises or crowds. The Forgotten Coast and the Plantation on St. George Island meet our requirements perfectly.
