This is the nicest unit in the area! Newly updated and luxuriously appointed throughout. Check out the high end kitchen and comfortable but refined decor in every room of this spacious oceanfront condominium.
Discover paradise on Amelia Island, it is the perfect spot for families or couples and one of the most popular beaches on the East Coast. For the sixth-consecutive year, Amelia Island is one of the top 10 U.S. island destinations and the number one Florida island destination in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. Located in an exclusive community on the unspoiled barrier island, this condo strikes the perfect balance between upscale luxury and carefree relaxation.
This is not an investor property rented by a management company, this is our 2nd home. We think you’ll agree the difference is noticeable in the quality of furnishings and the care we take maintaining the unit and making it comfortable and inviting. This condo is a Prestige Property Winner.
Newly decorated with updated furnishings, fixtures and art, the tile floors and earth tones invoke the surrounding sand and dunes. Blues and greens from the ocean accent the pleasing color palette. This unit has all the luxuries and comforts of home. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors welcome you to your huge private 4th floor balcony. Enjoy your morning coffee outside watching dolphins and a passing shrimp boat. Afternoon shade and sea breezes make the oceanfront balcony an inviting spot all day long. This floor plan has the only private balcony in Ocean Place.
There are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms in this spacious and comfortable condo. The master bedroom has a king size bed with a feather mattress topper and quality linens. The bedroom faces the ocean and opens to the private balcony. The second bedroom has a queen and a twin bed. A twin size roll-away bed is stored in the closet, as well. Both bathrooms are clean and bright and the master bathroom has a double vanity with two sinks, a shower and garden tub for a relaxing soak.
The large kitchen is fully appointed with top of the line appliances, not cheap 'rental unit' equipment. There is a tile back splash and under-cabinet lighting that brightly illuminates the Corian solid surface counter tops. Everything is here for you to make a picnic lunch for the beach (including a picnic basket) or for a gourmet cook to prepare a fine meal. The kitchen opens across a breakfast bar to the dining room which boasts a large table and seating for six. Enjoy conversation or watch TV on the new 51' flat screen HDTV in the spacious living room. The seating is comfortable and the view of the waves unsurpassed.
The Ritz-Carlton property surrounds this condo. The hotel building is next door, just 100 footsteps away. The Ritz-Carlton has used this unit many times for their guests when they needed additional accommodations. As a guest at our condo you have access to the luxuries and services of the AAA Five Diamond Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island. Enjoy the world class spa or a meal at one of the four restaurants ranging from the five diamond Salt to more casual and kid-friendly settings. The four bar lounges are available before or after dinner as well. You can even order room service and it will delivered to the condo!
The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island is unique in North America as the only hotel and restaurant combination to gain the AAA 5 Diamond rating in 2013 for both the hotel and its fine dining restaurant, Salt. We encourage our guests to walk over and visit this incredible neighbor.
Our condo also includes the AT&T 'triple play' package with free high speed wifi, TV programming including HBO with a HD DVR and free local and nationwide long distance telephone.
Other amenities at Ocean Place include:
2 oceanfront pools.
Privileges at the adjacent private Golf Club of Amelia Island, 18 holes of championship golf.
Access to the adjacent tennis courts of the Ritz-Carlton.
Gated entry to the condominium driveway with 24 hour security patrols.
Two elevators make access to this 4th floor condo quick and easy.

We enjoyed every minute of our trip to Amelia Island from the drive down through the overhanging trees to the beautiful views of the ocean and beach from the expansive windows of the condo. The owners have taken great care of their home, and it is evidenced by the personal touches throughout the condo. I am a picky customer because of previous bad experiences in renting condos. But this place exceeded our expectations, and that is what made our trip worth the time and effort to go there. Aimee and Brad were very responsive and assisted us prior to and after our arrival. The condo pictures and description of the area were accurate. We enjoyed visiting the historical downtown of Fernandino Beach and shopping along the charming streets. We also spent time at Fort Clinch State Park and especially enjoyed going through the Fort. We were so busy that the time to come home came all too quickly. Thanks Aimee and Brad for everything!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are glad hear we were able to exceed your expectations and that you enjoyed our condo so much. It's great to know you had such a fun vacation, we hope you'll come again! Brad and Aimee

My husband and I just returned home from a week at this condo. It is a beautifully appointed condo and the owners were extremely helpful with information available on what to do, where to eat, etc. Located next to the Ritz Carlton-so you know if the beach is good enough for the Ritz it is going to be great and it was. I would recommend the Spa (at the Ritz) as it is amazing and so convenient. We appreciated the little touches the owners Brad and Aimee left for us and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay on Amelia Island that this is the condo for you!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.
Owner response: We're so glad you enjoyed your stay at our condo. Thank you for the great review and recommendation. We hope you'll come back again soon! Aimee and Brad

Dear Aimee and Brad, Thank you for your hospitality! We had a wonderful week. This was our first visit to Amelia Island and your thoughtfulness and guidance helped us greatly. Your home was the perfect spot for our big family. We loved the view and all your special touches made it feel like a home. My kids will miss seeing all the different creatures (turtles, salamander, peacock and a crab in the pool!). Jack and Alexandra MolloyOwner response: It was great fun reading all the wildlife you saw on your beach vacation. We're glad your family had a great time and that we were able to make it feel like home! Thanks, Aimee and Brad

The owners are truly focused on having a beautiful second home. The Ritz is next door and the feel of this condo is that of Ritz appeal. The kitchen is top drawer, the master bedroom is exquisite. The balcony is spacious and you have great views from the living room, master bedroom and of course the balcony. upon arriving, we found the unit to be very clean and accurately described on the website. We commend the owners for sharing such a beautiful condo. Highly recommend this condo to anyone wanting to stay on Amelia.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My wife and I spent a long weekend in this beautiful condo, and we cannot stop talking about how nice it was! Beautiful, immaculate, warm, and inviting are just a few words that I would use to describe this property. In addition to being tastefully decorated, the condo had very comfortable furniture and a wonderful view of the ocean. The unit was equipped with everything that we could possibly need, including a basket filled with various items such as shampoo, antacids, dental floss, etc. The only thing that the condo lacked was a chef to prepare food for us! Fortunately, Amelia Island is home to many fine restaurants (including our favorite, Espana), so even this was not a problem. The owners were most helpful in answering our questions, and they provided a large 3-ring binder filled with useful information on dining, golf, and various activities on Amelia Island. We will definitely plan a return visit!Owner response: Thanks for the awesome review! We're ecstatic you had such a wonderful stay and enjoyed your time at our condo. Sorry there was no chef in residence :) Next time try ordering room service from the Ritz-Carlton, they'll do the cooking for you! We do hope you will plan a return visit. You were great guests. All the best, Brad and Aimee

Our visit to Amelia Island was perfect, thanks to our outstanding accommodations at 18 Ocean Place. This condo is beautiful - from the furnishings and decorating to the well equipped gourmet kitchen to the attention to detail throughout. We slept well in the master bedroom’s very comfortable king bed. The balcony is a great place to enjoy the spectacular ocean view. I discovered being on the beautiful beach even in January is an amazing experience. I ran the beach every morning, and in addition to the walkers and those strolling I’m sure we all experienced something special watching the shore birds, collecting sea shells, and listening to the sound of the ocean. Any time of the day, the seashore is always relaxing and enjoyable. Amelia Island also has many wonderful restaurants and activities. I plan to return to this island many more times and definitely stay at 18 Ocean Place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Ellen, We're glad you enjoyed your vacation at our condo and that you got in some good beach time, even in January! Thanks, Brad and Aimee

WOW!! We are having a great time here at your fabulous beach house. Being directly across from mom's house is brilliant for us. Your accommodations and kind consideration of having essentials here are well appreciated. This morning's sunrise, and this afternoon's perfectly surfable sets of breakers have added much to our delight. Got to body surf on 12/27. Time to go back to the ice and snow.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Dennis and Sue, It's great to hear you enjoyed spending Christmas at our condo so much! Thanks for the great review, we hope you'll come again. Aimee and Brad

"Welcome to Fort George Island Cultural State Park Native Americans feasted here, colonists built a fort, and the Smart Set of the 1920s came for vacations. A site of human occupation for over 5,000 years, Fort George Island was named for a 1736 fort built to defend the southern flank of Georgia when it was a colony. "Fort Clinch is one of the most well-preserved 19th century forts in the country. Although no battles were fought here, it was garrisoned during both the Civil and Spanish-American wars. During the 1930s, the Civilian Conservation Corps began preserving and rebuilding many of the structures of the abandoned fort. Daily tours with period reenactors depicting garrison life bring the fort to life for visitors. Sunbathing, swimming, and beachcombing are popular activities at the beach. Anglers can fish from the pier or take advantage of excellent surf fishing. Hikers and bicyclists can enjoy a six-mile trail through the park. Owner info
About the owner: We are a family of four with 2 daughters and we love spending time together at the beach. We live in Atlanta and love our trips to 'The Island.' We hope you will enjoy the condo as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Amelia City:
We have been visiting and vacationing on Amelia Island for years. When we decided to buy a vacation home we knew this was the best spot in Florida and along the east coast. We love the restaurants and shops plus all the outdoor activities in the area. We also enjoy a quieter day reading a book while sitting on the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We've worked hard to make our condo comfortable for our guests and ourselves. This is an upscale condominium development and we think we have created a feeling of relaxed luxury in our unit.
The building is located next door to the Ritz Carlton and this provides easy access to their amenities. This just enhances the already great experience you'll have at our condo. We love to walk over in the evening for dinner. Years ago we were married at the Ritz Carlton, Amelia Island and its fun to take our daughters to the spot where we had the ceremony.
