This house exceeded all of our expectations!!! The location and view cannot possibly be captured in pictures. The inside of the house is fantastic - well equipped, plenty of room, and makes you feel like you're staying with a spoiled relative rather than in a rental. Tina, the owner, could not be any nicer or more helpful. It's a little off the beaten path and a little windy up on the bluff, but well worth it for the amazingly peaceful oceanview setting. I highly recommend Skylark.

Sky Lark was the best vacation housing we have ever had. The views from the backyard are stunning, and from the back door it was just a short (1-minute) walk to the dock where we would go snorkeling every day. If you go out the front door, it's just a 2-minute walk to the bay where we went kayaking. The house has a very large kitchen, and the 3 bedrooms (each with their own full bathroom) easily accommodated our family of 5 (husband, wife, 3 adult children). I had a conference at the Fairmont Southampton, and it was an easy (10-15 minute) walk down Wreck Road to the bus stop, and then just a 10-minute bus ride to the hotel. As beautiful as the hotel was, I couldn't wait to get back to Sky Lark. We found the bus system to be quite easy to use, and it was able to get us wherever we wanted to go, such as taking us to the Dockyards where we caught a ferry to Hamilton. Tina, the owner, was also quite accommodating, answering many of our questions before we arrived in Bermuda. She also arranged transportation for us from the airport to Sky Lark, including a stop at the grocery store along the way. Tina also arranged for some mopeds, which we used for 1 day, to be delivered to Sky Lark. All in all, staying at Skylark helped make this a vacation to remember!

What an incredible weekend at Sky Lark!!!! We had 6 teens and 2 adults in our party. Everyone had a blast! There was so much to do right around the house and the house accommodated all 8 of us comfortably (2 had to sleep on the day beds in the living room, but were happy to do so as they were very comfortable). The kitchen is big with two tables and a sitting area. The living room was great for late night games. The Master was very separate, very spacious and had great views as well as it's own terrace. We snorkeled off the dock, we took kayaks out and saw numerous sea turtles. My husband rented a pontoon boat (Marina in walking distance of the house) and met us all with the gear for the day. We snorkeled around a wreck, found a deserted island beach and motors around taking in the sun and incredible views as we ate our lunch. One day we taxied to a beach. Our teens loved dinner at The Big Chill. It seems the happening place with live music and a dance floor over looking the beach. We were only there three nights, so we didn't get in the golfing or shopping available. Tina (the manager of the property) was amazing at helping us organize everything!!! We had dinner at her house one night and the food was truly restaurant quality and the company the best! It is a trip we will all remember for years to come!

Wow, what a beautiful property! SkyLark provides lots to do! My mom, dad, husband and daughter were there a week and only left the property twice. Property manager, Tina, was a great help when it came to island info, airport transport (use Mr. Bean), a trip to the grocery and restaurant suggestions. Our week consisted of the guys out fishing every day and us girls floating and snorkeling off the ocean dock and kayaking, fishing, swimming and awaiting the fisherman from their day at sea (the boat was able to pick-up and drop-off) off the harbor side . Capt. James Robinson on the Wound Up is who to call for off-shore fishing. He got my dad his first marlin and a 700lb one at that! He also took a morning trolling inshore so we could see the island from that point of view and allowing our 2 year old to catch her first fish. In addition to fishing, she was in heaven running around the backyard (with a million dollar view I must say), swimming all over the place and not having to be in her car seat in the cab rides (at least she enjoyed that). We hiked from SkyLark to Hog Bay Beach (nice little shaded beach you must visit at low tide). Ask Tina for directions. We took a 4 hour driving tour by Mr. Bean and that was a real treat. He was very informative and kind! Skylark is nicely decorated, is equipped with the essentials, but take note, is only air conditioned in the bedrooms (which, in the long run, is key). The weather was pretty hot for Bermuda in July, so late afternoons did get warm, but the fans and open windows helped with air flow at least. The property is very private and safe, but cabs were a little hesitant, so prepare to wait a bit and be sure to make restaurant reservations early if you plan on dining out over the weekends. The property, views, sunsets and memories made were irreplaceable! We would highly recommend this property!

We had a great stay at Sky Lark. The property was everything we expected and, frankly, quite a bit more. While we enjoyed the cottage (there is plenty of space and it is very tastefully decorated), we made use of the "outside" more than anything else. Ely's Harbour is a nice place to enjoy the afternoon - there is plenty of shade and there are kayaks and "noodles" for use in the water. We saw many, many sea turtles and that in of itself was thrill. The ocean side dock is exposed and it can be a bit difficult getting down in to the water - but it is entirely worth the effort. We enjoyed some of the best snorkeling you can imagine (Parrot Fish, Squirrel Fish, and many other large, bright, fish). If only we had discovered where to look earlier in the trip (there are a few bits of coral as you face out to the left - that is the place to be!). We rented a scooter to make grocery runs - the kitchen is fully stocked. Fort Scaur is nearby, and is worth the trip. We also rented jet skis from Robinson's marina (within walking distance) and explored the Great Sound - that was a complete an total thrill! The buses do not run as regularly in Bermuda as we recalled, so make arrangements with a cab driver if going out as a group. We found the Royal Naval Dockyard a bit of a let down (too commercial), though we enjoyed Harbour Nights in Hamilton. We enjoyed the Country Squire nearby (Somerset) - a great place to sit out over the water and have a bite to eat. Though there seemed to be some professional drinkers there they were all extremely friendly! The property sustains itself in terms of its beauty, and staying on site was for us the best part of the trip. Kudos to Tina for putting together such a nice vacation get-away. We would recommend this for anyone!

This is a lovely home with 3 sections to it which enhances privacy. The house had harbor side and ocean side which was great for snorkeling & kayaking. The owners were helpful with restaurant ideas. The only negative was master bath could use remodel but other baths were lovely. The views were amazing and grounds are kept immaculate.

Our group stayed at Sky Lark while visiting Bermuda for a wedding. The house is simply spectacular and Tina could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The large kitchen and outdoor dining area were fantastic and allowed us to enjoy making our own meals while watching the glorious Bermuda sunsets. The house is spacious and very well kept. The large bedrooms and multiple bathrooms make for very comfortable sleeping arrangements. A panoramic view of the ocean is visible from the entire back of the house, and in the mornings we ventured over to the harbor side to paddle around in the kayaks. Sky Lark is a true Bermuda treasure and Tina is a pleasure to liaise with. We certainly hope to visit again sometime soon!!

Follow flower and palm lined Wreck Road almost to the end and arrive at the pretty pink house Skylark. I am so pleased we could call it "home" for April Vacation. This house was perfect for our group, providing us space for two families and everything we could possible need for our week away. Tina, our host, took us to the grocery store for our first shopping trip. She continued to provide us with valuable information and advice during our stay. This site lists the many amenities and comfort items included in the vacation property but it does not convey the absolute beauty of the view from every room in the house and the yard. The pictures on the site almost captures the charm of every room decorated in authentic Bermudian style. Comfortable furniture and an open concept kitchen-dining area gave our group plenty of space. The young teens in our group were thrilled to have a video game system but the ocean activities were far more interesting. Just a short walk down the hill in either direction leads to the open ocean or quiet harbor. Every day we used the cement dock to relax, swim and snorkel the delicate coral reef just off shore. Sunscreen and water shoes are highly recommended for the tender skin and feet of New Englanders like us. On the harbor side there is a bit more protection from the sun. The grassy area is surrounded by palms and flowering trees. Tina was quick to point out the kayaks for our use. The dock area on Ely's Harbor, is a haven for sea turtles, we saw a few from the kayaks. It was difficult to leave Skylark but we did venture out on mopeds each day. Grocery stores are a quick ride in any direction and Tina told us about the wonderful organic farm for fresh veggies and more. Scooters really are necessary but even the first time riders in our group were able to navigate the island roads. Bermudian drivers are so patient and considerate of folks on scooters. You have nothing to fear. We ventured as far as Crystal Caves and John Smith Bay. Our group road to many of the island beaches like Horseshoe and Elbow beach. We also visited the Dockyard which is rich in history and has some cute shops. The nearby rail trail provides a quiet ride without cars but the speed bumps are tricky on scooters. The absolute favorite part of our vacation topping off each day with an evening dinner on the patio. The setting sun was always our reward for a fun-filled day in Bermuda. Thank you Skylark, we miss you already, Thank you Tina

This was a guys 40th trip. We'll definitley be back with our families. This cottage has magnificent views and is located in a very private setting. We rented scooters the whole time we were there and toured the entire island. We stopped to get groceries on our way back to cook a feast in the great kitchen, breakfast out back overlooking the ocean. The owners are very accomodating and a pleasure to rent from. The best beaches I've ever seen and I've been around... Two thumbs up!
