The house was AMAZING and so spacious!! The lake was gorgeous and we caught lots of fish off the dock. My son loved it! We are already planning a summer trip! Thanks again!Recommended for: Families with young children.

This was our first time at Lake Chatuge and I think we are now spoiled. The listing calls it first class and we would agree. The house feels very comfortable and relaxing from the moment you walk in. There is an incredible amount of space, we had 2 families with another that came up for one night and there was more than enough room for all. Well stocked with anything you need. The view from the main deck is amazing, have a great view of the lake with the mountains in the background and the trees on the property give it a rustic feel. We brought our boat and tied up to the dock and had plenty of space for the kids to play on the other side. The kids had an absolute blast jumping and swimming around the dock (not to mention the video games, air hockey and ping pong). There is also a deck down by the waters edge which we enjoyed relaxing on, it is a good alternative if you need a break from the movement of the floating dock. The owners were great to work with, we contacted them the week before Labor Day weekend and they got everything worked out quickly and easily. This place really is incredible, if you are thinking about Chatuge I think it would be hard to beat...we hope to return next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

About the owner: We are a happy, fun loving family that have enjoyed countless weeks and weekends in this lake retreat. We continue to do so and expect to make more wonderful memories here. We live in Atlanta and drive the two hours up here to the lake every chance we get.

We built this home on Lake Chatuge because it is a beautiful place to vacation and very close to Atlanta.

We enjoy the open floor plan of this house because it's so easy to get the entire family together in one place. We can cook a great meal, enjoy a movie, or just hang out and play games. All while enjoying the beautiful lake views. The basement level is great when the kids want to hang out together. The basement has 2 bedrooms, a full bath, a large open game room, and big deck on the lake.
