La Pensionne is all about open living on two levels. Materials have all been recycled, repurposed, or chosen for their environmental soundness. Absolutely beautiful! Upstairs has a huge walk-in stone lined shower and a sitting deck in the arms of an old oak. Downstairs has a separate powder room , a complete kitchen, HE washer/dryer, and a walled in courtyard with a patio and some lawn space. Home is built at the back of the lot and visitors get their own parking and entrance off the street. Outdoor shower at the side of the building for sweet summer rinses offs after the beach!

We almost dismissed this location as it isn't in the heart of downtown, but I'm so thrilled we didn't let that discourage us. This is such a cute, clean, and intriguing cottage. It is so well decorated that you feel art appears everywhere, even in the smallest forms. The pictures don't do it justice. It was also a very short (less than 5 minutes) drive to the Water Street. I would reccomend this property to others and we look forward to returning soon!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.
