This is the ideal place to recover, rejuvenate, relax, reflect and return again and again.This cozy idyllic home is located above Duxbury Reef, on the Pacific coast of Bolinas California, between San Francisco, and the Point Reyes National Seashore. Each room in this home offers an expansive view of the Pacific Ocean, as does the large deck. It is perfect for a quiet respite, or unlimited outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, surfing, boogieboarding, beachcombing, kayaking. There is a small quaint town with local coastal flavor and its own art museum. The town of Bolinas is a small, charming, and eclectic, coastal village which attracts naturalists, artists, adventurers, or those in need of a simple quiet sanctuary. It features its own art museum and a three-store "shopping district". For great local food, there is an organic produce store that is hidden, but worth the search. In addition, there is a local general store which features fresh caught fish, and any essentials you may have forgotten to pack. If your timing is right you can buy fresh crab from the fisherman at the dock and cook it yourself or freshly caught fish at the general store. In the event that you decide not to cook at home, there are two excellent family-run restaurants in town, the Blue Heron Inn and the Coast Cafe. Naturalists will enjoy this beautiful area with seals, pelicans, great blue herons, large white egrets, and many other creatures, who share with us their spectacular lagoon and ocean surroundings. For the sports enthusiasts, there are tennis courts, surf lessons, bicycle and kayak rentals, as well as, endless hiking trails with breathtaking views. The duffers will be glad to know that there is a video/DVD collection in the house and a rental store in town. Art enthusiasts can tour open studios, or even participate in classes which are announced in "The Hearsay News" and Point Reyes Light, our local papers. This is a place to enjoy, respect and protect.
