excellent home to stay in. house was exactly as pictured. kids loved the pool/ just the right size of house for 6 adults and 4 kids. close to disney and walmart and target. the only minor thing to note was the master bedroom upstairs could use a new mattress. other than that all was as pictured and noted in the listing .we have recommended this home to family mambers already and co workers. are considering doing this trip in a couple of years and if helen still has homes on vrbo we will be going thru her. best family vacation yet

Pros: This house was in a great location, and a safe gated neighborhood. The house had plenty of room, many bedrooms and bathrooms (specially traveling with 5 girls!!) Great distance to all Disney parks Approx 10-15 mins away. Great pool! Cons: Needs updated beds, the beds were very uncomfortable and made tons of noise. When we arrived 2 beds were not made and the house wasn't cleaned. Could use new pots and pans/ appliances.

Really enjoyed all the space and pool took whole family my 2 grown kids 3 grandkids ,Mother-in-law. It was such a joy to come home after long days in the park to being able to chill by the pool,kids had plenty to keep them occupied ,cooking out will hopefully get back next year. A very clean family friendly environment,gated community . It was defiantly all we where looking for .Plus Easter bunny even knew how to find us

This house was even better then we had hoped it to be. House was very clean, comfortable and in a very safe secure neighborhood. We loved, loved loved the pool & spa, especially after a long day at the parks, when the adults were dead tired and the kids were still going!! We would recommend this place to everyone. Already planning our next vacation!

This house was in a great location, easily accessible and plenty of room. However the small appliances and the beds leave a little to be desired. The beds should be upgraded, very noisy and squeaky. The small appliances in the kitchen don't work, they need to be replaced. Other than these things it is a nice house with plenty of room, we had 10 people, and a nice location. The management company got back to us right away with answers to our questions.

Owner response:The guests emailed me after checking out to report that the coffee maker and toaster not functioning well and beds problem. We would take care of the problems during their stay if they contact us immediately so they can enjoy the stay more.

Loved the house, loved the area! My family just came back from a week long visit and we really and truly enjoyed our vacation. The kids loved the pool and pool table !! The location was great! I would like to offer a suggestion though. How about adding a television and a couple of bean bags upstairs in the loft area ... there's plenty of room. All in all, we truly enjoyed our vacation. Thanks again for the use of your vacation rental.

Great Stay - Jan. 22 - Jan. 29, 2010

This was the first time that we had tried something like this and had a great time. We are a family of 5, my sister came and my brother-in-law and his wife also came. Lots and lots of room. The house was easy to get to, about 40 min. from the airport. Gated community added to feeling safe. We were minutes from shopping - anything we wanted. Close to Disney - location is great. The house was huge - we could not have imagined. We all had our own room. Plenty of space. The pool we had heated - well worth it in mid January. Everything was in the house we needed. The coffee maker was a little slow, but that is pretty minor. The only other problem was trying to get the DVD player to work - this could have been the operators. We would recommend this house to anyone. If and when we return to the area, this place will be on our list of places to stay.

We stayed at this house OCT 13-20,2007. It was wonderful! The house was spotless inside and out. You couldn't ask for a better location either. It was close to Disney, shopping, dining, ect. The private pool and spa were very nice and we loved the pool table! I would stay here a million times again and would highly recommend this house to others! Thank you for such a magical vacation!!

Wow! What more can I say??? We vacationed in Highgate from the 12-22nd of Sept '07 and it was incredible. The house was clean and had everything that was needed, and it was a great location with respect to the Super Wal-mart, Disney and out-let shopping. We did Disney by day and the pool and hot tub by night. It was a great feeling knowing that you were in a gated community, very safe feeling when you are so far away from home. We would stay in Highgate again and would recommend it to others going to the area. Thanks Helen!

The Highgate house was a perfect accomodation for our week "doing Disney." The location was extremely convenient to all the parks so we didn't waste time fighting traffic, and could break up our days to accomodate our young grandkids. The pool was great for unwinding and all the household essentials were provided. Having a washer and dryer saved greatly on the amount of clothes we needed to bring. It was a hot week, and we all needed a new set of clothes each day. Stores were very convenient and easy to find which simplified things logistically. We definitely will come back here for our next Florida vacation, and recommend it to others.

Our stay at Highgate Park was wonderful!!!! We will definitely remember this vacation. There were eleven of us and we were more than comfortable. The five children had a ball with the games and the private pool. This is very nice community. I was so surprised to see a police car patroling through the neighborhood early one morning. Everything we needed was provided (except the food). Grocery stores, fast food, and restaurants were very close and accessible. The customer service was 5-star. I got quick responses everytime. I remember thinking, this is just too good to be true. But, it was all true. Everything we were promised was delivered. I will certainly recommend this community to all my family and friends. We are already planning to return in March "08" for my daughter's dance nationals.

We’ve rented numerous FloridaVacation Homes and this one was awinner! The pool table, air hockeytable, and swimming pool were alla “hit” with the kids! Mom & Dad likedhaving ample room to relax plus havinga washer & dryer. The neighborhood issafe, secure (gated community), andquiet. There is very little car trafficin the development. A new Publixsupermarket and Applebee’s restauranthave recently opened just a few minutes from the house (south) – veryconvenient! The home is literally 15minutes from Disney!! Don’t forget totake a backpack and make your lunchesat the house prior to visiting thepark. First time I ever rented a home and would not do it any other way on vacation in the future. The customer service regarding the rental process was great, and the whole process was very easy. By renting in Orlando for a week instead of staying on the resort, I had way more space and privacy. I also enjoyed the savings which I figure was well over $1,000 USD for my family on accomidations, and I was able to take a one minute drive to a supermarket there and buy all the food and drink I wanted. Think of the savings there alone !!!

The house was wonderful! We had 7 people with us and with all the rooms, everyone got to do what they wanted and gave us the privacy that we needed. The pool was a nice relaxing way to end the evening and we all had a good time. We have already recommended this place to others that may be coming up next year. Helen, thanks for making our trip to Disney so enjoyable. The house was everything you said it would be. It was so nice to come in from a long day and be able to pull in the garage instead of finding parking and having to walk forever. It was so nice for each family to have their own restroom. I loved having the washer/dryer. I was able to wash my clothes each day and bring home clean clothes. I can't think of a bad thing to say. It was perfect for our needs. It was close to the parks, close to Walmart, grocery stores and many great places to eat. Thanks Again! We will be calling you again when we get ready to go back to Disney.

We rented a house in Highgate for the week of September 3rd - 10th. We had some concerns going into it, since we had never rented a vacation house before, and had heard some negative things online (pictures misrepresenting the house, completely different house then the one pictured, amenities not as listed, etc.). I'm so happy to say your house was nothing like that! The pictures were a perfect representation; the house was beautiful, comfortable, and well stocked. Everything went as well as we could have hoped. Coming home to the game room, pool area, kitchen and laundry area made our stay much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone I know who is looking for an extended vacation in Orlando. So again, thanks for everything.

We had a large group staying in the house it accomodate all of us perfectly. The home was clean and comfortable. It was a very welcome site on the return trips from Disney. Hi Helen,I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed dealing with you and our stay at your rental house during our trip to Disney World. This was our third family vacation to Disney World. Our first trip we stayed on property at Disney’s All-Star Sports, our second trip we stayed at the Holiday Inn just outside Disney World (now Nickelodeon Family Suites by Holiday Inn) and by far your house was the biggest hit with us and our kids and the best value for our money. It was so nice after a long, long day standing in lines and dealing with all the people at the parks to come home to a nice quite home, where we could all unwind and take baths and showers without climbing all over each other. We also enjoyed having our own washer and dryer in the house versus having to drag everything to the laundry room (we even did our laundry on our last night and brought back all clean clothes)I was a little concerned about how long it would take to drive back and forth to the parks, but we normally made the trip in about 15 – 20 min. (Which is about the same time, if not shorter, it took us to wait for shuttles to bring us back to All-Star Sports)Again, thanks for a great time and we will defiantly stay with you on our next trip.Sincerely,Jeff, Lorri, Chas (12), Rivers (9) & Chaislyn (5)
