Spectacular 180 degree view includes to the North and Northeast: Blue Hills, Bass Harbor and Mount Desert Island; to the East: Placentia and Goff Islands; and to the South: Frenchboro. At night watch the blinking lights from Lighthouses at Bass Harbor and Frenchboro.
During the day cruise ships and sailing vessels from 30' sloops to ocean going racers with masts 150' tall, pass by on their way to/from Eggemoggin Reach and Bar Harbor areas. Large centrally heated home in excellent condition with 25' x 20' composite deck. 250 feet of gentle sloping back yard to ocean; several pebble beaches amongst the rocky shore for beach cookouts, launching kayaks; acres of mowed fields for badminton, frisbee, a multitude of simultaneous activity. Large picnic table on deck. All the sounds, privacy and wonder of ocean frontage living.
Source the freshest fish, lobster, scallops, clams from the fish markets on Swans Island at excellent prices. Swans Island is a special place and this is one beautiful property with all the privacy and space (inside and out) you'll need.
Large & beautiful white sand beach a few miles away faces south.
Enter from breezeway into mud room, then access bedroom and bathroom with shower. Next is the full kitchen with table for 4 then the dining room with table for 8 and sliding glass doors with view to ocean and access to deck. Extensive living room has (2) 6' sofas, fireplace and large picture window looking to ocean providing lots of bright light; then around to another bathroom with shower and to second downstairs bedroom.
Upstairs are two large bedrooms and bath with shower. Garage connects to house via covered breezeway. Excellent layout offers several areas with substantial room for everyones' privacy when needed yet allows for large group activities when desired.
Internet service is available at house. House is located 2 miles from ferry landing and faces east. There are 5-6 ferry trips to and from Swans, Mon. thru Sun., from April thru October: best to make ferry reservations a month ahead.

- Excellent sailing, biking, sunbathing. Sailboat/powerboat rentals at Southwest Harbor which you pass through on your way to ferry at Bass Harbor. Kayak and Bike rentals on Swans Island. Public tender dock is at Ferry Landing at Mackerel Cove, less than 2 miles away. We can help you obtain a mooring rental.

$1000 refundable Damage Deposit which covers damage/excessive cleaning
costs. Damage Deposit returned w/in 30 days of occupancy end date.
Damage Deposit returned immediately upon cancellation if you never occupy house.
Week begins at 4 PM Saturday & ends at 11 AM the next Saturday.
Cancellation refund of 85% of Rental Deposit if we're able to re-rent.
